Gb Team Announced.

Chris Harris

Edward Kennett

Lee Richardson

Simon Stead

Reserve-David Howe

Good selection by Middlo. Howe has proved what everyone thought, that he's not upto it after his performances in the GP qualifier and at Cardiff where he was outclassed.

Stead need to pull his finger out though. Fancy us to get through at Cov if Stead performs.

Exactly the line up that I expected.

Come on you Brits! :approve:

As I predicted a couple of months ago, Eds position wouldn't be the one in question when the team was named.

If anyone thinks that team can be improved by any other rider then it should make for some comedy reading.

Hang on what about Olly Allen? Haha.

Has he ever seen Ed at Brandon?  Has he seen David at Brandon this year?

David should be in ahead of Ed and Simon on current form.

Got to say that I find the fact that David Howe at reserve a surprise, with Kennett  not too hot around Brandon, Steady just back from injury, surely Howe was worthy of a full place.

OK so I am a Wolves fan, but David Howe should be in there without question as he is on form the third best English rider this year.

Chris - So you were not impressed by his GP Qualifiying score or the 4 points he scored at Cardiff ?

How much did Stead and Kennett score in the Qualifiers ?

Why was Howe riding at Cardiff and not Stead or Kennett ?

With the round at Coventry, I would have used Oliver Allen ahead of Stead as he has been brilliant over the last 18 months.

Harris, Nicholls, Richardson, Howe, Allen - res Kennett

I must admit that I'm surprised to see Stead in the side for this one. I don't know too much about how he rides Brandon, but he's definitely not having a good season and his poor form clearly continued at the GP Qualifier at the weekend.

At the risk of agreeing with stevebrum, I'd have opted for David Howe, with Olly deserving the reserve berth. :approve:

I can't wait to see Rico on the big stage again either; Cardiff just wasn't the same without him. ;)

Think the lineup is spot on, with perhaps the only doubt over Stead.

Can't belive some on here think Kennett shouldn't be riding!

The lad is the best young British talkent we have and should have been one of the first names down after Nicholls and Harris. He is destined for GP stardom in the next three years and his form this year is brilliant.

No disrespect to Allen but he isn't at the same level even if it is his home track. Would be just left standing and has little passing ability. Eddie on the other hand is the total package in the making and can gate and pass.

Stead or Howe? Tougher one here. DH is on good form and its good to see. Stead really hasn't stepped up to the mark this year.

Stead normally goes round Brandon well, but his form must be a bit of a doubt. Howe has had a good season, and in my opinion should be in the team, with Eddie at reserve especially after seeing them at brandon this year. But thats the team that Middlo has picked so lets stop all thw squablling and get behind the boys!!!!
