Rob B
The track was perfect last night, there were no crashes due to the track. Pedersen didn't hit a rut, he was out wide and just picked up some grip and lifted. A few ruts here and there make the racing so much better. iris123
To be fair even Crump did slightly criticise the track.Saying something like "Parken was smooth.I was hoping this would be the same. But it is the same for everyone" So maybe the riders were not too pleased, but naturally Nicki would be p'd off.Plus with his injury problems a track like that will give him trouble i guess
Rob B
But it made it so much more interesting, the racing was a lot better then Parken, you needed skill to ride the ruts not a surprise that it was 3 of the top riders in the world in the final, Crump, Hancock and Adams along with Harris who is showing so much skill and control this year as well as having the speed. iris123
Yes for us fans i think it was good.Just glad no-one got hurt.I mean looking at the Final Bomber nearly came a cropper twice in the same rut but he kept going But maybe from the riders point of view the smooth track at Parken was better.I think Johno on the radio was also mentioning the fact the track cut up badly quite a bit as well. DanTheMan
yeah it was a shame to see a few ruts develope, but each year the indoor tracks get better and better, was funny seeing Nicki trying to blame the other guy (sorry, my memorys blank, had too much to drink last night ) then after seeing the replay h knew he couldn't keep with that story so blamed the track instead
Subedei
Nicki P's right - the track is dreadful, played right into Harris' hands though. Always believed Harris would do well at Cardiff, although not THAT well. He's as happy as a pig in the proverbial when the track gets rough. Bonsai Diamond
I think Old Nick would have more of an idea than any mere mortals on this message board.
a61
Sour grapes or what Nicki knows well enough that that's racing for you. If he'd been the one to win, I doubt he would be making any comments about the unfairness of the track!
Eastie
Do you believe everything written in newspapers then?? The Argus is usually bull of bull rubbish. Whats Shovlars interest in a Brighton newspaper?? When Nicki was interviewed after his crash he stated that he was nudged out wide by Hampel into the deep stuff . Thats racing and he didnt make any excuses. Edited July 1, 2007 by Eastie

Sabres
The GP is not there for NP's personal self admiration. The track was rideable as so many riders proved, If NP is not able to use his right hand to control his speed and his "undoubted" experience to read the track he should give up. I've seen too many of his outbursts and I for one are getting tired of his antics. The reason he went out last night can only be blamed on one thing - NP. Oh that he can show a little more of the fair play, acknowledgement of a better rider on the night and stop thinking that the British Speedway Public owe him a living. leanne1706
Well he was obviously pushed, wasn't he!? Even I, as a huge Nicki fan, knew that as soon as he hit the dirt that was the end of his British GP, and while I spent a few seconds desperately trying to come up with an excuse for him, there just wasn't one. Hey ho, who needs to win GPs to become World Champ, eh Loramski?!
seanisnumber1
Nicki is talking rubbish you could see the track was the best it has ever been with passing chances available for Scotty in heat 1 rather than having to wait about 8 heats to see someone get close to anyone...just cos he fell off in the semi!! Well done Nicki for staying down on the track in the semi and getting Bomber a re-run and from there he wins the meeting.. Cheers Nicki!! Liontamer
First of all congratulations to Chris "Bomber" Harris, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Commmiserations to Nikki P, Hans & all the other riders who crashed, unlike some tossers near me I didn't cheer when they went headfirst into the fence. It's a pity some people can't think of anything origional to post on the forum, & yes, the banner saying "taxi for Mr Pedersen" did make me laugh. tigerblues
Oh bless him! Get on with it Nicki, you didn't make the final, deal with it like everyone else has to The banner "Taxi for Pedersen" was great btw.

Mr. Clemens
No one's dominating this year's GP's that's the beauty of it Nicki looked like he was for the first 3 rounds but this year's reality has set in and the game is wide open for 'the one prepared to step up to the plate' Nicki's not doing it Jason's not doing it Leigh's not doing it Greg's not doing it Hans is trying to do it but it keeps on damn well slipping away from him and Mr Harris well Mr Harris is 'just there for the experience and trying to enjoy it the best he can'. Perhaps and mayhap that's the 'key to the door'. 'You never can tell', said Mrs. Bell.
Gemini
The banner "Taxi for Pedersen" was great btw. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was later replaced by one saying "Hans Andersen rides rough, boys." or something like that. I think they were British fans. Just reminded me before the G.P. started a couple of Poles came down to the front row of section N4 (middle tier, 1st bend) with a massive Polish flag which they proceeded to tie up, half covering the flag that was already there. Poole Pirates and England. Naturally the owners objected to this and made them take it down. One of the Poles offered a handful of money but this was refused and they disappeared, together with their flag. About ten minutes later they came back and started to undo the English flag, which of course didn't go down very well and they were sent packing to the cheers of all the English fans. Poland 0 - England 1. A bit like the G.P. really. Edited July 1, 2007 by Gemini
SCB
and I'm willing to bet Bomber said (and I don't know this so don't attibute it to him) "bloody brillaint, more of the same next time please".
