Rob B
Typical that every year Cardiff has been on the same weekend and the weather has been really nice even thought the stadium has a roof, they put it back 2 weeks this year and the weather looks pretty terrible. Obviously its not going to affect the GP with the roof but is going to make it pretty miserable during the day getting round etc socialising. http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/7days....zipcode=Cardiff
shazzybird
In all honesty it's what you make of the weekend .......... 2 more sleeps and can't wait! Just wont be the same without Suzieq there
Seb the Snail
I fully expect it to be fair to tiddly in the pub, with a few foggy intervals later on depending on the amount of moisture consumed. There's a chance of lightning if any Wolves / Swindon or Poole / Coventry fans happen to collide, but the day will have a glorious ending when the Clean One takes the chequered flag in the Final, leading inevitably to a sudden dramatic shower of champagne. There is also clearly the risk of wind, thunder and even a full moon on the coach on the way home...
London Witch
even a full moon on the coach on the way home... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which follows on nicely to the Hans Andersen Experience thread I've just been reading!! Seb, a bit of a mix up with the winner tho. Never seen Hans or Nicki called the clean one before!

Never seen Hans or Nicki called the clean one before! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very true, but then again, they haven't been Australian Champion 9 times either have they? To be honest, as it's on a temporary track it could be anyone's meeting. I don't think that Leigh or Nicki even made the semis last year, did they? Joanne
I know the stadium has a roof but I was wondering about the shale. Where does it come from? Maybe its a soggy mush already with all the rain we've had.

The forecast shows Heavy Rain
Bobbin' Along
As the track is made up over a week or so, hopefully they've been sensible and kept the roof closed as much as possible. Looks like we'll still have a really soggy start line though, 'cos I believe they have to have the roof open a bit for ventilation when they have bikes. I don't care if it's soggy during the day - I'll be nice and dry in the stadium from 5pm on wards, chatting with me mates and having a laugh. Where abouts is it again? We normally frequent the City Arms pub right outside the stadium. And how would we recognise any of you (except Shazzybird, obviously...) We can then point out one or two other members!!
London Witch
Its the Weatherspoons opposite the road to the stadium, next door to Boots the Chemist. If its nice we'll be stood outside!! I think the pink cowboy hats might be a giveaway to where we are.

I would have tapped everyone in Cardiff on the shoulder (cause they will all have brollies)and asked if they were BA util your second bit - I now Lupus so have something to go on now!!!! The forecast hasn't got any better rain and loads of it. Where's 21stCH when you need him? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry - even 21st cant make this forecast sound any better at the moment. But remember the British weather has a way of suprising us!!! Could go through in the morning leaving a lovely afternoon (okay - in my dreams!!) EDIT - Just been looking at the charts and there is an outside chance we could get actually get a gap in the afternoon, bit of rain early evening and then the front will be through. I am actually a little more optimistic than an hour ago, when I hadnt seen the charts But then Im no 21st!
