German Gp Any One Going

Recommended Posts

We are planning to fly back from Schipol Amsterdam the day after the GP and have booked into the Marriott hotel at the stadium. Don't think there are any late night trains to Schipol on Saturday night :o

Thanks for that but we have found cheap flights from Dusseldorf to Manchester on the Sunday after the GP.

Thinking of going to the German GP just wondered if any one else is going and how they are getting there.

Hi

I'm a new poster, so Hello Everyone -:D

Thought I'd reply just to say 'YES I'M GOING TO THE GERMAN GP!!'

Well, me and my little family actually - hubby and our two kids. Our third time at Cardiff has inspired us to dip our toes in the wider GP pond.

Hope its a good night and that everyone enjoys themselves....

:D

Hi Christy! I'm new too and, likewise, I'm off to the GP in Germany with friends and family! Hope you have fun!

I've read the thread and would just say that having looked at the 'traditional' budget airlines websites I can't believe that the airport in Weeze is being described as Dusseldorf! As someone has said, it's about 80km away! It's nearly in Holland!

We're flying Air Berlin to Dusseldorf which is £50 return including taxes. Just need somewhere to stay now if any one has any ideas?

Also, not sure if I'm raising this in the wrong place so apologies if I am but, any idea who the wild card might be? Presumably German - Smolinski? Kessler  Muller :D

I'd stick my neck out and say either Martin Smolinski or Christian Hefenbrock will be the wild card.

Me, Wife, Ginga daughta and her boyfriend going to Dussledorf on the Thursday out of Leeds/Bradford with Jet2. On the Saturday travelling up to Gelsenkirchen also stay over night and then direct to the Dusseldorf airport on the Sunday morning. Anybody got a clue the best way to get to Gelsenkirchen on the Saturday and then to the airport on the Sunday. :) Any assistence considered.

I haven't got much of a clue but I had a quick look at trains in case I book a flight which lands in the late hours of the day and their trains are 'very efficient'.

It's an option to get to Gelsenkirchen but to the Airport no idea.

Don't forget Tobi Kroner ;)

Edit:

Even more reason not to forget Tobi now, he's got through from Lonigo tonight, beating the likes of Jarek, Max, Holder.

Ha,fallacy.I often have problems if i use trains or underground.Saturdays + Sundays seem to be the time they do the track works.Trains being late and missing the connection, meant i either had to buy another ticket for the train in an hours time or wait 2 hours for the next train i could use on my ticket.I wouldn't say there is much difference between here and back home.Just luck

My first post B)

Well I'm going!

Whilst on holiday in Europe.

Great timing too since it's the last meeting of the series and hoping to meet some people while I'm there.

So if there are any gatherings before the meeting please be nice and help out "another" Aussie, "like minded" tourist.

Going with the parents and Auntie and Uncle, flying on the Friday from Manchester to Dusseldorf with Jet2 (I think!) and coming back on the Sunday :D
