Mr Snackette
I had the pleasure of visiting the Rwaicz track on Thursday, and thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. One area that I would like clarification on concerned the event s at the start of the meeting. In heat one Rawicz scored a 4 - 2. In heat two, with Rwaicz on a potential 5 - 1, an Opole rider fell resulting in the race being stopped. The referee ordered a re - run, excluding the rider that fell. However because, in the opinion of the referee, the fallen rider had not made an attempt to clear the track, he then amended the result from heat one, awarding it 5 - 0 to Rawicz. Not surprisingly subsequent fallers were quick to remove themselves from the track. I wondered if this scenario is a common occurance in Polish League fixtures? Ferndown Racer
I had the pleasure of visiting the Rwaicz track on Thursday, and thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Rawicz, we stayed there while over for the Wroclaw GP and will be returning in September for the GP and World Under 21 Final. We are also hoping to watch the Bronze Helmet semi final in Rawicz on the Thursday before Bydgoszcz. Was there any mention of this meeting in the programme and what time it started? Or can one of our kind Polish friends confirm what time this meeting will start? if I remember correctly, Rawicz has an air fence but no flood lights. Any information would be much appreciated. I'm not an expert when it comes to league regulations and I'm not sure what rule the ref used changing the result to 5-0 but from your description I guess he excluded that rider from the whole meeting so his points scored in the heat 1 were cancelled. Anyway, it's definitely not a common occurence in Polish leagues. (...) We are also hoping to watch the Bronze Helmet semi final in Rawicz on the Thursday before Bydgoszcz. Well, this semi does figure in all fixture lists so it must happen As for the hour, such things are not announced in Poland too early. They don't have lights so expect the start time about 4 - 6 pm.
