Very sad to read this update.

It's not really the place to start the debate again, but what price an air fence? Perhaps it's time to look at the helmets the guys use as well.

(although I have no idea whether it would've helped in this incident)

This is really sad, it's been a very difficult last month for the sport. Journalist's in Sweden are already saying racing should be stopped staightaway until airfences are sorted. Looking at this incident though would airfence have saved him?

And Robin Johansson who's now paralyzed. I'm told he flew over the fence and hit a lightpost. Airfence?

The Olsson incident can be seen in SVT's internet site, search yourself, I'm not linking it.

Loads of bad luck at one short moment... Makes you think...

EDIT: took the link away seconds after posting

Just recieved a call from a friend involved with Vargarna speedway. He told me that the decision to turn off the life support machine was taken approximately 3pm uk time, and Kenny passed away peacefully at that time. Such awful things to hear. It is a small comfort to imagine that he didn't sufer. R.I.P Kenny

Air fence wouldnt have helped in this case, could have made it worse.

Very sad news indeed.

I just brought it up as the statement said he went "head first into the fence".Thought it might have helped, but don't want to take the thread off at a tangent
