Well Done Leigh!

Recommended Posts

And my, didn't the Dane throw his dollies out of the pram and sulk. Talk about a poor loser!

Leigh deserved the win tonight. There are some who will say he was lucky because other riders were injured. It's true that Nicki P was flying, but Leigh was just so damn fast! And in the last heat, did anyone else but me and Mr BA notice that he may even have gone into the first bend (shock horror) a little hard on Nicki P?

Now - all he needs to do is win the next 8, and the titles sewn up...;)

Actually no. He showed how dedicated he is to winning and was more than disappointed in himself for losing his first place. Nowt wrong in ambition.

I thought this thread was about Adams winning but no, two posts and both Hans slagging!

Well done Leigh!

No Hans slagging from me at all, merely an observation. And yes, I still think he was sulking.

Having just re-read Trees comment - how the heck can you call that slagging Hans off? Trees has also just noted an observation. The "haha" may not be your opinon, but it is Trees'. And Trees and I have every right to our opinions.

Leigh is a true gent who has class and shows real professionalism. It was a great move that hoodwinked Hans. Leigh thoroughly deserved the win, it couldn't have gone to a better person.

Hans could do with taking a few lessons! He was obviously annoyed at getting beaten but I thought he was his reaction was childish and in poor taste.

Ok, slagging off might be a bit harsh but I detect a little dig in both posts and also in the other one currently on this thread as well.

Of course we're all entitled to our own opinions thats what a forum is all about but I came on here to congratulate Leigh on his win, not to read about Hans.

Still don't think Hans was sulking though, just very disappointed in himself, but thats just my opinion.

Personally, I have no doubt at all that Hans was completely embarrassed !

Only he knows what he was doing from lap 3 onwards, when he was slowing down all the time.

Last GP, second place must have felt like a win for Hans - tonight, second place was a disaster !

FAANTASTIC! good stuff Leighroy, hopefully this is the impetus for the rest of the Championship.

The result's been a long time coming and what an advantage to gain - over 10 points on Crump, Hancock and Pedersen. Just brilliant.

The battle between Leigh and Nicki has been developing nicely through the whole season., I think it just rose to another level!

ADAMS QUOTES POST MEETING:

"This is just what the doctor ordered. I'm battered and bruised after a month of big crashes, but this makes it all worthwhile."

"We had a team meeting this afternoon and talked through a couple of things and it has all worked out perfectly."

"I have a strong support network around the world and it is nice to show my appreciation by winning something big. Thanks to my supporters, team and family. This is a great day for me and i'm right back in the hunt now."

Great news for Leigh and a well-deserved Victory for one of the most popular riders Oz has ever produced. Just rewards for all he's put in - lets hope he goes all the way this year.

Just wondering but, where exactly does this Leigh Adams chap come from ? !! ?

Congratulations for coming out from under yer Rock, Wolf.

In answer to yer query, the 9-time Australian Solo Champ comes from somewhere south of Monmore Green.

You'll find no argument with those sentiments amongst the Robins' fans, Dave! :approve:

Great to see the Clean one on top of the podium again at long last, especially for those of us who snapped up the 14-1 pre-meeting! What a sublime pass to beat Hans to the chequered flag, after tracking him so stealthily for the preceeding laps. :D

The only person with an anxious expression during the race was Rosco - he must have thought that the roof of his pub was going to come off when Leigh made his final move! :P
