SCOOBYDO
I am thinking of making a trip to watch a league meeting at Masarna in the very near future. Can anyone please tell me how far the track is from Stockholm and whether there is any public transport (if not, the cost of a taxi.) Thanks

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Avesta is situated approximately 160 kilometers northwest of Stockholm, along route 70 towards Mora. If you are flying directly to the Stockholm Arlanda International airport, there are several train connections between Arlanda C and Avesta Krylbo train station, without any changes along the way. From Avesta Krylbo train station there are approximately a 10 minute drive by car/taxi. Taxi Avesta can be reached on 0226-804 00 (from abroad +46 226 804 00). Overall, the absolutely best way to get from the Stockholm area to Avesta seems to be by train, if you not fancy hiring a car and drive yourself? Look for train timetables at the Swedish Railways website, www.sj.se, click on "In English" in the top right corner.
