HenryW
YES! It makes a team 10% weaker/stronger!!! Ahhh...but Sweden runs a squad system so individual teams can sign more of the top riders. That surely has a negative impact on the standard of some of their squads What is surely a bigger factor in the difference is that Jonsson, Hampel, Gollob, Lindback, Jagus, Holta, etc choose to race in Sweden but not in the UK! stuart road
Well they would not exactly be terrified of meeting Rory Schlein, Kim Jansson, Chris Louis, Zibi Sucheki, Robert Miskowiak, Marcin Rempala and Tobi Kroner or Daniel Nermark, Freddie Eriksson, Piotr Protasiewcz, Steve Johnston; Jesper B. Jensen, Ricky Kling and Lubos Tomicek. And before you go at me; yes I know Protasewicz is in both Indianerna and Oxford and yes I picked the two worst team you have in EL since you picked the worst one in Sweden. So do you think you league leaders Coventry (Nicholls, Janniro, Schlein, Burza, Harris, Allen, Smolinski) could beat Västervik (leaders in Sweden) (B. Pedersen, Harris, Gollob, Ulamek, Iversen, Forsberg, Chrzanowski)?? EDIT: Sorry HenryW, didn`t see your post before I posted mine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i would quite fancy coventry's chances. please be advised, risager is a starter for the bees, not burza. and harris could not possibly ride for both sides in the same match. only schlein can do that! OK a full Swedish team may be beter but the average Swedish team is not!

No EL-team would have any kind of chance in the Elitserien, unless they rode their home matches at some kind of bizarre result-altering trick-track. Subedei
and harris could not possibly ride for both sides in the same match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shame really. People would pay bloody good money to see Harris versus Harris.
HenryW
So that lost comes to 40 points (IMO, so a not to great 11th team), then take into account they have a squad system and suddenly the British teams look better! Firstly, I have to question where you come up with 40 points for the 6 riders that I mentioned. Do you really think that Jonsson, Hampel, Gollob, Lindback, Jagus and Holta would only come to 40 points in the UK EL? Secondly, how many points did you give to the "etc" that I put in there? I wasn't suggesting that these 6 guys were the only ones racing in the Swedish ES that could easily take a team place away from someone in the UK EL if they (1) wanted to, and (2) were able to fit in under the points limit used here. I would suggest that all of the following riders could push an EL rider out of a team place: Andreas Jonsson, Jaroslaw Hampel, Tomasz Gollob, Wieslaw Jagus, Rune Holta, Antonio Lindback, Mikael Karlsson, Matej Ferjan, Grzegorz Walasek, Henryk Gustafsson, Renat Gafurov, Gary Havelock, Andrej Karpov, Karol Zabik, Emil Sajfutdinov, Rafal Dobrucki, Tomasz Jedrzejak, Magnus Zetterstrom, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Tomasz Gapinski, Pawel Hlib, Chris Slabon and Andre Compton.
