stuart road
He's never been a world class rider. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> surely subedei, that depends on your definition of a "world class rider"
AndyM
He's shown flashes of brilliance, but to be truly world class you need to do it consistently under all conditions. That's my definition and I'm sticking to it.
Subedei
He is just the Swedish answer of "the beggar" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So true. surely subedei, that depends on your definition of a "world class rider" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess you're right. My definition of world class is multiple GP wins and at the top of the averages in the major leagues. On neither count has Lindback managed to get classified as "world class". If you have a lower standard, then I guess you have a lower standard.
rabbit
Feel really sorry for the guy. You don't go from being a top class and stylish rider to the pale shadow he is at the moment without there being some serious issues there. I was critical of what went on at Poole last summer, but I hate seeing a good rider like him so obviously struggling. Either he still has serious issues with his knee which aren't being made public; there are problems in his camp; or he is so low on confidence and race fitness that it's killing him on track. Or perhaps a combination of all three? Really hope he can get it sorted. On his day well worth watching, but not like this.

tarabanko
It must be a record of its own to score 0-0-0-0-0 on 5 heats in the GP? Very depressing to see so poor!!

Very depressing to see so poor!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anton has done it before . i think walking out on Poole last year, and not riding over here to start the build up to the GPs has hurt him big time, a very silly young man. pirate paul
Its very sad I feel to see the guy go from setting a track record at Poole that even Crump can't get within 2 seconds of, to this tonight. It seems to me that Anton has serious problems in his camp and needs to sort them, quickly. He's made mistakes and he will only learn from them, but personally I think he needs a good kick up the backside and needs to stop listening to the ego-massagers. Mr. Clemens
Most likely Lindback will or is losing interest in speedway altogether and most likely will find another career to pursue. He does need a guiding hand but might be too late for even that Just thoughts passing through my mind while watching this meeting I do believe Lindback will withdraw from the GP series shortly and as said above quit the speedway altogether for some other sport. bellevueace
Wasnt that long ago that a few people down on the south coast were talking up lindback as the next big thing in world speedway, what a difference a season can make. He wont be the first rider to suffer after dropping the british league from his schedule. Suddenly not looking the complete article, comes across as a rider that is losing heart in the sport at the moment.
