Subedei
Great racing from Chris fantastic performance - that should silence the critics and doubters that thought he should not have been selected <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That, I guess, will be me and a few others. In my defence, I always maintained that I wasn't as against the selection of Harris as I was against the selection of Nicholls. Harris has done very well in his first couple of GPs. He was outstanding tonight. And yes, I feel a few words being forced back down my throat. But, as ever, I'm happy to eat those words. Harris has far exceeded my expectations and long may he continue to do so.

21st century heathen
Congrats Chris. Easily the most exciting rider in the GP's this season, although not quite the best. Superb performance tonight with some truly brilliant moves.
Sandie
BOMBER!!!!!!! Went to the pub tonight to watch the meeting and what an atmosphere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Went to the meeting tonight to watch the meeting. What can I say. Chris Bomber Harris was awsome. We were sat (no - standing on the benches) on the back straight and were surrounded by passionate Poles but the support they gave Chris was heart warming considering the lack of Poles in the latter stages. The emotions tonight were unbelievable. When Chris won his first ever GP heat we all went loppy thinking thats as good as we would get tonight but then he just got better and better. The Poles were laughing at us but we were really struggling to keep it together. Some may call us stupid but thats what we paid our money for and Chris certainly delivered. But we didnt stop after the meetingas the moment the final checquered flag came down the heavens opened again and after all the fireworks etc it was back to the hotel to get changed. I am just so please to be able to say I was there for Chris Harris's first podium finish.
leanne1706
I love anyone to beat that man Crump, but for it to be Bomber, and in the final, has just made my evening He looked really pleased as punch standing on that podium knocking the champers back, and he has every right to. Massive MASSIVE congratulations to Mr Harris... I think I'd better get a Union Jack to accompany my Danish flag for Cardiff!!
Custom House Kid
Trying not to get too carried away here but, didn't Chris look a little like Mark Loram tonight! Lets hope he doesn't learn to gate!
baz brush
Not sure what words to use for Bombers performance tonight but will go for, Unexpected (but very welcome) Progressive (looked more in control as night went on) Pride (he was proud to be out there and all brits must of been proud of him tonight) Outstanding (when you look at class of rider he beat tonight in only his 2nd GP) WELL DONE BOMBER - PROUD TO BE ENGLISH TONIGHT
SCB
Went to the meeting tonight to watch the meeting.Don't rub it in I'd have loved to have been their tonight, I bet it was amazing. Bloody uni exams I'm pleased for you that you were there though. funnily enough, before the semis we were saying how great it was wathcing it form the pub and how only being there could better it and how we were all jealous of you. So how many really believed he could do this? Me, I had a few pound e/w on Bomber, however, by the time the semis started I no longer cared, I was just pleased Bomber had done so well, then when he passed Greg to make the final I realised I migt be about to make some money but still would not have bene unhappy had Bomber only finished 4th. When he come 3rd, the money was secondary, however, knowing I had put some faith in him made me feel even more proud of what he had done. I'm still smilling now. Just needs to win a GP this season now, Cardiff would be nice, as would Prague and Gelsenkirchen Someone reading this told me back in 1998 when we first saw Bomber as a 15 year old he'd be in the GP's one day and he'd be on of the top guys, it's the last time I doubt anything he says with regards to the potential of speedway riders From memory he only scored 5 or 6 in the CL that day too! Lawrence
Hail to Chris All my friends watching it live on C+ were supporting him especially from Heat 17... Good job Bomber - greetings from Poland BTW - Get well soon AJ - I hope that we will not use RR next Sunday against Reszow Edited May 13, 2007 by Lawrence
Col
I have to admit when I saw the draw for the Semi's I thought... Bugger! Andersen, Hancock & Adams are far more experienced on the GP stage than Chris, I expected a plucky third. I thought Anderson was lucky, had Hancock not took evasive action & caught him when he made a mistake he'd have been out. In the other half were Zagar & B Pedersen, who were pretty crap most of the night, best of the rest certainly. So I had hoped having finished third after 20 heats 'Bomber' would have been up against those two in the Semi. Still he had the hardest draw, Greg was unlucky and Harris capitalised. Lets just hope he can keep it up and Nicholls can respond to a Brit challenging him for #1 status in the coutry and the free ride into the next GP season. tomcat
Well Done BOMBER... Like a few others on here, I have cheesed the neighbours off.. haven't yelled for a Brit to do so well in ages.... now off to rest a sore throat.. But worth it all. Proud to be British again..... I can see Chris doing this on a regular basis, providing they get the tracks right for the rest of the series. Even on a slick track, I can see Bomber doing well. Hard Luck Scotty as well, he tried his heart out, but the engines were obviously set up wrong. Maybe time for a new tuner.... certainly a new mentor, Havvy seems out of touch. A British 1 2 at Cardiff... well I can dream can't I... never say never people.
Old Saint
Chris' performance tonight showed the best of speedway. If there were more riders like him in the Elite League, the future of speedway would be secure.
Sky Blue Bee
Last year following his performances in the World Team Cup Bomber made a massive step up - increasing his average in the 2nd half of the season, I believe following last night we will see another surge and this will not be a one -off performance. Bomber may continue to struggle in places like Denmark etc where there will be a very slick track but given a proper racetrack with some dirt on he will be a match for the best. Brian has certainly tuned his bikes to perfection as he looked as fast as anyone last night ( Scott please note ).
