Will Scott Be In Tomorrows Gp?

Recommended Posts

If he wants to ride, he'll ride surely? There has been nothing to say that he isn't, so I'm assuming he is.

He was back riding last year two weeks after breaking his collar bone, can't see him sitting it out tbh....even a few points are better than none :)

Usual thing at these times...

People forget the actual injury. They remember seeing the crash (and what a crash it was !) and maybe finding out the injuries...but (clearly, as per the other thread) they often won't accept a rider competing at the World Championships then missing a league meeting or two.

Well, in defence of all riders who ride when they've got injuries, particularly broken bones that have not repaired yet...you have to remember that one small crash might be all it takes to damage it beyond repair ! Just one little incident that a healthy body would brush off, can cause serious pain and problems.

So in this case...I fully expect Scott to ride in the GP.

And then I hope he doesn't ride again, at least for another week.

Having said that, he may be silly and ride all meetings after Saturday

I agree I think he should at least start the meeting and see how things go. I would also fully expect him not to ride in any meetings afterwards for at least another weak. The problem will be more with pain and being able to grip than anything else.

Word from the practice in Poland is that Scott was there and looked very quick so fingers crossed.

I can confirm that we have seen him with our own little beady eyes (god this polish vodka is good!!).

He was there and practiced well. :D

Roll on tomorrow - only problem being, that the weather is getting nicer and nicer and the track today was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dusty!!!! :D

Steve, not trying to have a pop at you with your posts on both threads but got to add some comment to this one...

I don't want to see Scotty make the same mistake as the likes of Brian Anderson and keep on riding with injuries, which no doubt ended his career early. I would rather he rest the injury and come back in style.

What I do disagree with though is when the riders are happy to risk their UK legaue standards for their own personal benefit in the SGP.

I can understand why they do it but I don't agree with it.

If your fit for the SGP, you should ride your league meetings too. They are more important to MOST of the Cov fans than the SGP surely?
