Well done for what though? He failed to make the semis. If he had managed that I would be congratulating him on a good effort. But like NIcholls, there wasn't much for him to celebrate yesterday.

Hopefully other GP tracks will suit his type of riding where you give the opposition 10 metres headstart in every race.

Nothing lastnight to congratulate IMO.

I think i will do even better on a big open track with plenty of dirt on it.

Well, dirt is very unlikely on an Olsen prepared track, so I guess that's that knackered. Personally, I always had Lonigo down as a track Harris would do reasonably well on. I think he'll actually be caught short of horsepower when the circus hits those big tracks in Poland, where gating is crucial and power essential.

Wow Chris Harris posts under the name of BeesFan!

Hopefully you will do better next time Chris. Trouble is if you have been watching the GP's, you will know there's no GPs with plenty of dirt on them.

Bomber did OK, but it was indeed JAGUS who showed how to make a proper debut.

Maybe Harris WILL get better and his efforts may be rewarded with the occasional semi and maybe he will continue his current step up in level.

For Britain , lets hope so.

Steve you really let yourself down sometimes, for a guy who does have a lot of speedway knowledge, your comment on Chris's performance last night was total crap. For a young rider on his G.P debut it was a very good performance to get 7 points which will give him a good platform to move on from over the rest of the season. Steve please put your brain in gear before typing.

Bees Fan - are you Chris in disguise or are you planning on riding the rest of the GP's!!! :P:D:wink:

Oh and as for Chris - I personaly think he did very well indeed.

This is his first GP and its all a learning curve. I didnt need him to get into the semi's or final to be impressed.

What were you expecting Steve immediate reward.

I cant remember how old your daughter is but when/if she has started reading she will need to learn her letters before she can read the book.

Give the boy a chance for god sake!!!

Well done to Bomber, 7 points is nothing to be disappointed with in his first GP as a full rider.

I agree with that statement. But to go overboard and say he had a good GP is stretching it way too far.

He wasn't embarressed, but didn't do anything either. Lets be realistic here.

Of course I want him to do well, but last night wasn't anything to write home about or start a thread over. Just my opinon of course.

Well done Bomber for what its worth i think you did well in your first gp. :) Some people on here are so desperate for a british wold champion that nothing less than a win in your first gp season will do.If he rode for poole certain people would have said that he had a good start for a young british rider, if he was polish it would have been a great start for yet another young pole who placed higher than the begger in his first gp and for the rest of us he did ok in his first gp.Lets be honest Chris is going to give more entetainment for people around the world than some of these gate and go boring europeans that are in speedway now. If bomber , loram ,nicholls and stead and riders like them lined up for every race people would flock to speedway as no one would ever choose who would make the gate but you would be guaranteed a great race with all 4 riders going balls out to win untill the chequred flag. Still nevermind you cant please everyone

Guest Jacques

It certainly was, a promising start. Nothing spectacular as yet ,but I feel sure that he will continue to improve and if he can replicate the spectacular racing, that he produces week in week out in the elite league, to the GP's ,were in for some exciting times ahead....

nice one Bomber :D
