Guest Schumi
Excuse my ignorance but what is "d" please? Is that an engine failure? And if anyone is feeling particularly kind, is it possible to post the other abbreviations and their meanings please?

Mateusz
Back home. Tarnow have won 49-41. Not a bad result for Bydgoszcz, there's some chance for a bonus point I think. Peter Ljung had a fall and has broken his leg. Today's Ekstraliga results Edited April 22, 2007 by Mateusz

Peter Ljung had a fall and has broken his leg. Today's Ekstraliga results <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mateusz are you 100% shure about Peter Ljung? That he broke his leg? Devasting news for Peter if it is so. This was not a very good match on tv, just a few moments that was good, then AJ splitted the Gollob brothers team riding, and then Jedrejewski took the victory.. I think Mariusz Staszewskis place is hanging loose as Emil Sajfutdinov is on his way back. Was it just me that thought it was a sparse crowd in Tarnow? / Mikael

That's what they said on telly and now SportoweFakty.pl confirms it. The leg is broken in two places.

Mateusz
Right. It says he's gonna be moved to the Military Hospital in Bydgoszcz thanks to Gollob's connections. This is a very good hospital and lots of riders have stayed there for their operation or recovery.

And are Mikael Max and Peter Karlsson riding in Poland this year?
TwoMinuteWarning
The Karlsson brothers are both riding in Division 1 this year for Ostrow, along with Joe Screen. Today, Mikael got a 15 pt maximum, Peter 13 from 5 rides Yesterday's Div.1 details are at http://207.218.233.253/pierwszaliga.htm Edited April 23, 2007 by TwoMinuteWarning
Mateusz
As it turned out after the match in Tarnow, AJ's van had been vandalized - some f..kers scratched the bodywork After the incident in ZG, now Tarnow seems to be another country stadium where some local idiots can do whatever they want to... Subedei
A shame about Peter Ljung - I hope he has a quick recovery. Early days, I know, but Rafal Okoniewski is looking like being an excellent signing by Bydgoszcz.

I've been on a Stag weekend in Poland last weekend and this was my first sample of Polish League Action. I thought it was an excellent match and miles better than any British EL meeting i've seen this year. Regarding the crowd, there didn't seem that many from Bydgoszcz there. It was hard to put a figure on it but i know Swindon would gratefully take half that crowd every week! Mateusz
It wasn't bad but comparing to some other matches (especially the previous one: Bydgoszcz v Czestochowa) it was nothing really special (tho' still far better than average BEL meetings I saw last year). And I guess that's what Tarabanko meant. Edited April 24, 2007 by Mateusz

Sometimes I wish we could cut the attandance by half and finaly have an easy going attitude toward this sport.
