AndyM
You mean you were into tartan trousers at half mast and tam 'o' shanters, Jo? That gives me an entirely new picture of you! But I'm surprised to hear you weren't swooning over Puppy Love. Maybe you were also a David Cassidy type?

iris123
Donny Osmond Hated him when I was younger, was into the Bay City Rollers but now he looks nicer now. Wouldn't mind him as my teddy bear <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Donny can sometimes be seen in deepest South London. There is a Mormon thingymybob(not sure if they call them churches or temples or what)in Mitcham where he has been a visitor.Apparently

manchesterpaul
Going against the grain here but, Phwoarr bring back Bonnie for another go. I do hope that the Chas'n' Dave notion is not remotely true. What a disgraceful shocker, if so.

Chris-P
I think its all just a bit of fun and for atmosphere they will be great. I wouldnt pay money to go to see them on their own but Im not complaining to see them as part of the fun on GP day. Incidently - all those that have bar-humbugged C & D, who do you think should be booked. Remember it needs to be someone whose music is designed to get the foot tapping and people smiling. Its the warm up act after all and not the main event? Shazzy - keep yourr suggestions clean please!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well said, completely agree, .... its all in the spirit of fun in all fairness, Ok , suggestions...... mine would be UB40 if the budget ran to it, or if not a good UB40 tribute band, or what about Madness ? they go out on smaller (less paid) gigs now, probabaly not that expensive, they would get the crowd going. Ill be ahappy to sing along to chas & dave tho !!

Nevs
Nope they aint playing in the afternoon on the concourse. Just had this email back from website after making enquiries. Hi They are playing before speedway in stadium Regards Barry <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fair play to this Barry chap though-agent I believe- it is now referred to as British Speedway GP Millennium Stadium on tour dates rather than Speedway Day RESULT. See- all it takes is one email to make a difference- even though people thought I was bonkers at the time http://www.chasndave.com/tour_dates.html Edited April 19, 2007 by Nevs
shazzybird
Well if they listened to you over that, send another email telling them thanks but no thanks
Brian L
If you want to hook today's youngsters on Speedway then you need a current band and music. With 40,00 people in the stadium I'm sure some of today's young singers or bands could be tempted to perform. You will never please everyone whoever you choose, but let's bring Speedway up-to-date! Mr Snackette
Rumours for those going to Lonigo that pre meeting entertainment will come from the legendary "Carlo e Davido". No doubt spectators will all join in with the classics: "Coniglio", "Borda Laterale", "Nessun soddisfacendo voi" and "Gertcha"!!!! Quanto meraviglioso. John Hannibal Thomas
And I care? No, sorry. Chas 'n' Dave? Just confirms what a large section of the population thinks of the sport and its supporters. Better off not having a pre-meeting act than Chas 'n' Dave. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> such a shame, IMG must be having a laugh, whatever next beadle tutning up with his mic saying you have been beadled to the entire crowd i think each year they try and outdo how bad the music was the previous year, although i do think its harsh on chav and dave that this puts them below fat hadley in the pecking order.
