iris123
I have a feeling Subedei would much rather see some of this Certainly get them flocking in early If i'm not mistaken this is where Reading copied their team suits from Edited April 16, 2007 by iris123

Nevs
Hang on--Maybe they are just playing on the concourse in the afternoon or something to keep everyone happy and add to the carnival atmosphere.--That would be a laugh. And another band or something will be announced in a couple weeks for inside the stadium?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope they aint playing in the afternoon on the concourse. Just had this email back from website after making enquiries. Hi They are playing before speedway in stadium Regards Barry And not a full stop or apostrophe in sight!!!! Ah well thats cleared that one up then. Thanks anyway Barry.
Subedei
PS Subedei.....the reason most people are going i presume is because you are not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And I care? No, sorry. Chas 'n' Dave? Just confirms what a large section of the population thinks of the sport and its supporters. Better off not having a pre-meeting act than Chas 'n' Dave. AndyM
Don't know if this has been reported anywhere else but todays "Wales On Sunday" says this years entertainment will be provided by ......CHAS'N'DAVE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ho hum. Glad I'm not bothering to go this year. Piece of trivia for you - I think it was Dave who used to live in the house next door to ours, some years ago. Knew you'd be impressed! Best pre-match entertainment I saw at Cardiff was the late, great Edwin Starr, he of War fame.
JIROUT
Subedei Like everything we disagree on ...it is all down to personal choice.......Im sure there are a lot of people who dont want to see chas and dave there......i bet you most of them will also be singing along to there songs when they play them...as the atmosphere at Cardiff does tend to make grown men and women act very strangely and embarrass there children :-)))) jaybea
Noodles
I have (accidently) seen Chas n Dave live and although they would not be my choice of pre-meting entertainment for such a prestigous event they were very entertaining and have an annoying nack of making you sing along and enjoy it - even when you are adamant you won't and you will be surprised at how many songs you actually know. No I wouldn't pay money to see them - but I haven't, I have paid money to see Speedway.

At the end of the day we got Chas and bloody Dave but it's what we all make of it isn't it, we've paid our money to watch the speedway, they are a bit of entertainment as people are entering the stadium for the "Main Event" ........... and yes I'll probably be singing along with the rest of you not my idea of an "A lister" which is what Nikki from BSI said we would be getting and as Suzieq said the other night dread to think who's on their "C List" they gotta be better than them bloody Samba Ants surely! Mad Mitch
If pre match entertainment at the Millenium Stadium is your top priority I would advise you to attend a 6 nations rugby match there. The music, atmosphere, full house, in full voice beats anything Ive seen or heard in any stadium. Well maybe the last night of the Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle comes close. Sorry this wont qualify as pre match and anyway was sold out last January. Edited April 17, 2007 by Mad Mitch
