It is some time since I have seen Mark ride and he has improved almost beyond recognition, I was very impressed. I was also impressed by Ben Barkers first lap in the final when he ran the fence for the entire lap, he certainly earned the win in that race.

Surely he would and done better if he'd ridden his bike lol

 

Brilliant nights speedway, track was good and some great overtaking with a few suprises too boot. No major injuries thank god and there was some wine left in the bar after the meeting so all in all couldnt of asked for more!

I've got to say hats off to the riders and mechanics, the staff of Weymouth speedway, the ref, and everyone else involved in the running of that meeting. To get 22 heats through in 2 1/4 hours (that curfew at 9:30pm is absolute AFAIK) was no mean feat given the number of incidents. Bloody good fun meeting.

Nice touch too from Christina Turnbull the ref for asking our announcer (Stressed) to thank fallen riders for clearing the track quickly on a couple of occasions.

Cracking meeting all round with three very deserved riders going throught to the finals, and one of them a Wildcat.
