Strange comment in today's Speedway Star, that Middlo was pleased to have avoided holders Denmark in Events 1 & 2.

Since one was scheduled to take place in GB, and the other in Denmark, that was never a possibility!

Have to say that the Vojens match looks much the tougher of the two.

Think that both event 1 & 2 will be tough. Think Poland will need the race off to get through, but on home soil should win again but it all depends upon the state of the track!

I'd imagine that, unless Ole Olsen is bringing in track staff from outside Poland, the track will be prepared just the way young Gollob and company want it prepared. Olsen's word might be law everywhere else, but there's a higher authority when it comes to Poland.

Well we've certainly got the easier route, and being at Coventry won't hurt our chances, but I don't think it's necessarily a gimme, especially with Loram unlikely to take his place.

Last year in Poland there was a superb close match which finished Australia 49 GB 48 Poland 48 - one of THE great matches.

Poland might win this year - but I don't think they will find it at all easy.
