manchesterpaul
I notice that one can watch sporting events live on broadband. I had been on Uefa.com to see if i could watch the champions league match with United this week. Upon clicking on the link, it takes you, in this instance to a non-Uefa external broadcaster. That then turns out to be Sky Sports. I see that one can either set up an account or pay for one-off events. The CL matches are between £1.50 and £2.00. Does anyone know if this is a new service just coming into effect or whether it was in place last year? If so, were the GP's available, or how likely is it they would be if it is indeed a new service. Should all us non-Sky subscribers inundate them with requests? Its all in Danish, but at least there is somewhere on the net showing speedway. I'm sure one of our Danish members would provide a translation on how to subscribe. I manage to read my newspapers and books like that Edited March 4, 2007 by manchesterpaul
ZKZ Kitten
I've been subscribed to DK4 for two years now and I'm more annoyed than satisfied with their service. Last year, for almost half a year (it happened to be Grand Prix season), they were apparently 'improving' the service but to be honest I can't see any positive outcomes of this 'improvement'. Many times I watched Grand Prix in green, upside down or with no voice at all; sometimes with voice but no picture. In such cases I become aggressive to the surrounding environment so to stay healthy minded I shouldn't be subscribing this year but I will probably get tempted again and do it anyway... Guest Steve Dixon
I subscribed to DK4 for the live GP service, was very good but when it came to cancelling it was a nightmare, sent lots of mails saying i don't speak Danish but they never replied in English, lucky for me it was on a credit card that i decided i no longer wanted so bang went thier DD. ZKZ Kitten
You're lucky to have found their e-mail! I couldn't find it for two years. Do you still have it? I'd be delighted to provide them with some feedback on their service..
Gorgrel
Will you be able to pick up GPs on things like TVU, PPStream etc for nothing.... I know you can get most major footy matches (Premiership, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A etc...) live online for nothing if you know where to look. mp2
If you go onto E-Bay, theres a guy selling a Satellite TV to PC 'emulator' that apparently lets you tune into a heap of stations from around the world. It's only approx $5 Aussie - I have been in contact with a couple of those who posted feedback on Ebay to see whether Sky was on there, as I'd sign up just for the Speedway content. Apparently Sky news is on there, but not Sports I'm thinking of getting it anyway, I might have to listen to Speedway in Polish or Danish or some other far flung language, but sure I could find *some* live Speedway from somewhere!! mp2
Downloaded TVANTS - seems a bit hit and miss to me, with the picture not overly consistent. Couldnt find Sky Sports on there, or anything that I thought may carry Speedway/SGP telecasts.
