Italian Gp

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of heading to Italy for a weekend, to coincide with the first GP.

Does anyone have tips on where best to fly to, how to get from the airport to Lonigo, accommodation in Lonigo, etc etc.

Any info gratefully received! :approve:

Best places to fly to are Verona or Venice. We fly to Venice as the flights are cheaper and more frequent but stay in Verona (no where to stay in Lonigo, its quite a small place). To then get to Lonigo you really need a hire car, its quite in the middle of no where.

why spoil the weekend watching speedway

I think you're on the wrong Forum.

As mentioned, Lonigo itself is a pretty desolate place, so stay somewhere else and hire a car to get you to the meeting if you're not going on an organised package.

I went with "Travel Plus" last year and it was excellent - staying at Lake Garda for 3 nights with organised trips to Venice and Verona as well as the meeting itself. :approve:

So THAT"S where I met you! I've been wracking my single remaining Braincell four ...oooh...must have been at least a minute! Nice drop on tap at the Hotel; were you up in the hills or downtown with Clare?

Down with Clare. You guys seemed to have the better hotel, but at least we were staggering distance from all of the local hostelries! :approve:

I managed to con one of the local Bar owners to put the Bledisloe Cup on on his Big screen then had to sit there and drink P**s and watch the Kiwis flog Oz!
