iris123
Just to question your result of the C Final Conkers(nice to finally meet you )I thought Svensson was waiting for Tuinstra.Tuinstra jumped on his bike and raced to the tapes, but was too late and disqualified under the 2 minute rule.Looked on Otties and Annikas web-sites and they also have Svennson winning by default Edited March 12, 2007 by iris123
full-throttle
iris, i have the same result in my programme. some very odd decisions imo but then i'm not the referee and didn't have the same vantage point he did. had a great time and would like to pass on my thanks to Ron and Andy from Eurorider for an excellent trip. I've now just checked the official results and Johnny was excluded on two minutes - so I stand corrected. I now need to amend the reports I sent off! Look forward to see you in Berlin at weekend, I did try to find you on the Sunday, but was unsuccessful. Now trying to sort out my 950 photos of the meeting into some sort of manageable number! full-throttle post Today, 03:07 PM iris, i have the same result in my programme. some very odd decisions imo but then i'm not the referee and didn't have the same vantage point he did. On Saturday night, when Krasnikov met Bulankin, Nrasnikov wheelied on the back straight and hit Bulankin, knocking him off line, and causing him to slow. After Wojaczek's ruling on Friday when he excluded Pletschacher when he touched Shishegov, I expected the same for Krasnikov but No! Then when Bulankin (possible one of the fairest Russian riders ever) touched Zorn (which Franky told me didn't worry him as Bulankin did it accidentally) the Ref excludes him! The ref normally goes to the after meeting press conference at Assen. Mr Noel (president of the Jury) was there but Wojaczek wasn't. Some members of the German Press Corps were a bit miffed as they wanted to speak to him. Edited March 12, 2007 by Conkers
iris123
Good luck with that.950! I was thinking of phoning you while you were out in the middle, but all the action was down your end(until the Finals)so didn't want to drag you away. Agree with both of you there were some strange decisions.I guess the ref was over-ruled by the Fim officials with sharing the points between Ivanov and Bulankin.Bit late though,as Dmitri was on his way to the rostrum when he was told And did either see what happened with Klabo?Unfair riding. iris123
Sad to hear about Tuinstra. He went crashing intothe bales with Baltachev and both bikes. He did wave to the crowd as they put him in the ambulance,so i hoped it wasn't too bad. Some great racing yesterday, particularly Zorn and Bauer in the B-Final.Great to see Günther back in good form. All down to the A-Final today
iris123
What a weekend!!! All down to the last metre of the A-Final.Krasnikov wins his third title on the trot. And he is still only 22! Great to finally meet Wolfslayer,Icanicant + the gang of Cradley fans. Berlin pics
iris123
is the tv report with the Tuinstra crash. The DMV official says he has no news apart from a couple of broken ribs, but the reporter says from the pits he has heard that Tuinstra has internal injuries and is in intensive care. But that is hopefully unofficial and incorrect Edited March 19, 2007 by iris123
Conkers
Got to agree - best Ice Meeting I've been to for many a year. Some really exiting racing and I got some great pics. They'll be on my site this week. Good to see the lads from Cradley and Iris123 again, too. Also I met German Speedway Fan in our hotel and never got around to buying him a beer. And yes I was very embarrassed to have my 50th Birthday announced to the crowd! Thank god for the Finnish Vodka and Lordi Coke afterwards eh FSP! On a serious note, I believe that Johnny T has sustained a cracked or broken vertebrae and punctured his lung in two places as a result of his fall. I did speak to his mechanic on Sunday but I didn't get to speak to Mrs T as she was at the Hospital. I will try and contact some friends in Holland over the next few days and see if I can find out more about him. I'll keep you all posted.
