iris123
That is going to be hard in Saransk.Only 5 places and 4 Russians in the line-up + Posa and Aakko
iris123
There is something planned.Here.But it isn't likely to be more than 5 minutes, most of which will be made up of crashes and an interview with Günther Bauer or maybe Franky Zorn Not even sure if i will be able to see it as the channel splits into regional programmes,as you can see.Not sure which one we get up here in the North
Conkers
Do they have a web view facility (similarly to the "Listen/Watch again" feature on the BBC? Could be an interesting piece.
iris123
Don't think so Conkers.German tv doesn't seem to be as good on that as the Beeb.I looked at the weekend on another channel for the facility,as i just caught the end of the preview for the indoor meeting at Kiel.Wanted to see if they had it on the web. They didn't.Had a look around the Bayern web-site and although they do podcasting, they won't be doing this programme. As far as i can tell. But i used to be able to get loads of german channels on Sky when i lived in london,so it should be possible to get the channel.Just the fact that they do 2 sports programmes.North and South Bavaria.Which one you will get i haven't they foggiest.Maybe both. Our local tv channel splits into 4 regional programmes, but luckily we get them all.So if there is a bit of speedway over in Teterow or south in Neuenknick or even north from Brokstedt i can see that

DutchGrasstrack
Just receive the information that only 3 russian rider are qualified from Saransk, so please find the qualified line-up: Vitaly Khomitsevich Stanislav Arkhipov Sergej Baltachev Posa Serenius Antonin Klatovsky jun. ------------------------- Antti Aakko http://www.olzzon.com/g/g.php?a=s&i=g7-02390-
iris123
They must be saying only 8 Russians are allowed to qualify!!!But that is a bit bad to let them have more riders in the quali rounds.Crazy stuff Still Klabo + Aakko get a chance
Conkers
Been at Telford most of the day, and no Hotspots to check the results. The rule used to be no more than 6 from any one country, but they increased it to 8 after the USSR broke up. That means there will be 8 Russians, and 8 others. The results seem to indicate that some of the western riders are Rusty to say the least, but with Franky challenging for the top spot in Inzell, it could be an interesting championship. Franky beat his Russian "Jinx" last year, so I expect him to be a spoiler this year. Well done to Bauer and Johnny T getting into the Final, I look forward to Gunther challenging the Russians too. Posa and Svensson through too, so with Aakko at reserve for R1, he may be able to just miss the one round? World champion 2007 - I have to go for Krasnikov, with Khomisevich 2nd and I'd like to see Zorn third but I suspect it will be Ivanov or Bogdanov
Conkers
The Draw for the first two rounds of the Ice Racing at Ufa: GP 1/2 in Ufa RUS - 24/25.02.2007 1. f-s-p
(unless they score well and finish so far up the field it makes a mockery of the racing.) You are kidding, right? If Aakko scores 10 on sunday and finishes 13 after the first two GP's, will he start in the 3rd as a regular?
iris123
Didn't Klatovsky start as reserve last year but once he got a chance he stayed in
Conkers
Correct, Klabo managed it last year, and I hope Antti Aakko does the same, as it's silly that he is reserve. However if Johnny Tuinstra finishes down the field, the Wild card rule comes in and the rider above Johnny is reserve for day 1, same goes for Berlin if Bauer has a nightmare in Assen, he will get the wild card for Berlin. Officially though, both Aakko and Neidermaier should start day one at each event as reserve.

tomazpozrl
Khomitsevich fell in the A final and I think Arkhipov had an Ef in the B final. According to the post on russian forum the A final was very interesting. Krasnikov took the lead, Ivanov was second, Khomitsevich third and Bogdanov fourth. Then Krasnikov had some technical problems which allowed Ivanov and Khomitsevich to pass him. These two then fought a very hard battle for the win. Coming out of the final bend Khomitsevich hit Ivanov's bike and fell! Krasnikov came from behind and rode straight into Vitalij's bike, was thrown over the handlebars and crossed the finishing line in second place! Bogdanov came third. After the incident there was long discussion whether to rerun the A final, but at the end the refeere decided that the A final will not be repeated and that the results stand. Just for the record: I think that "the famous" Wojciech Grodzki was the referee today in Ufa.
