Rob B
No you won't find anywhere in Cardiff now, Newport probably your best bet, last year we ended up staying just the other side of the bridge outside Bristol.
SCB
i am really struggling for a hotel or a bed & breakfast there must be somewhere still available in cardiff. I tried to help a friend find somewhere in Newport. It's almost impossible. You'll pay a premium but you could try the Celtic Manor (the other side of Newport, so about 20 miles) if you're desperate, just had a look and 2 nights GP weekend for a family room is £230. You could always get a few of your party to sleep on the floor and just pay for the one room! The good news is they do have rooms! Starman2006
SCB has it spot on...the middle tier is always pretty popular but I reckon you'd be quite a few rows back if you booked now. Top tier is always emptier but you are a bit further away...not much though. As for atmosphere...don't worry, you'll be totally immersed in it wherever you are! Best thing to do is try the Seetickets site, stick in a few prices etc and see what seats it chucks back at you. Go by their seat plan and see if you like what you're offered. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I get the same seat every year, and i get a fantastic view, like Rabbit says, u;'ll be totally immersed in the atmosphere!. My only gripe was last year. Im a/was a friend of Antons, and a staunch supporter of the lad, but becouse of that, several Budgie fans who were sat behind me took great exception to it, and one decided to deliberately blast his air horn towards me, i was not best pleased believe me Edited February 3, 2007 by Starman2006

tanya
Plenty of rooms left at the Celtic Manor hotel Newport, very convenient on the motorway pleasant grounds, a few film stars and a snip at £1, 500 for the Presidential suite. tanya
This is quite a nice guest house in a couple of minutes walk from Newport town centre, worth a try. Knoll Guest House Tel: 01633 263557 145 Stow Hill, Newport
tanya
Here's another in the same vicinity. Looks a nice guesthouse. And has a good write up which I'll post underneath the address. Glenroy Hotel 192 Stow Hill Newport Monmouthshire NP20 4HB Wales The hotel is a combination of old and modern design. Newport itself is one of the 'new towns' going for City status, and has many fine examples of modern architecture. Newport attracts Speedway fans, and with Cardiff only 15 minutes away by train, fans of many other sports too.
