SCB
also any advice on reasonable hotels to spend the saturday night in please. LOL. You have no chance of getting into a hotel in Cardiff now. It's also quite hard in Newport now it seems. Regarding seating, I'd avoid the bottom tier but I know people who love it down there. Just seemed quiter and lifeless down there when I was there, I was the only making any noise and I was getting funny looks for using an air horn. Personally I loved sitting on the front row of the middle tier a few years back but owing to the fact I'm too tight to buy tickets in advance thats not really an option now, so I sit in the last free row on the top tier. That way I can run, jump and generally be a nusance without getting in anyones way. Also means going to buy beer and go to toilet is a lot easier as I'm not stamping on people toes. And if them Poles who run around the back think they have big flags, they can watch out this year

ghostie
thanks for that Boggle but i need advice on the best part of the stadium for views and atmosphere as well please.
Sheephead
depends wot you wanna pay ghostie, i personally sit middle tier just before the 1st bend and think that is the best place to sit but they are the dearest tickets at about £75.00 i think, but as i said earlier i think anywhere offers good views and great atmosphere, for me middle tier would be a must
rabbit
SCB has it spot on...the middle tier is always pretty popular but I reckon you'd be quite a few rows back if you booked now. Top tier is always emptier but you are a bit further away...not much though. As for atmosphere...don't worry, you'll be totally immersed in it wherever you are! Best thing to do is try the Seetickets site, stick in a few prices etc and see what seats it chucks back at you. Go by their seat plan and see if you like what you're offered. Sheephead
It really depends on if you prefer watching from back straight or on a bend by the look of it, honestley cant put it across enough that you wont get a crap seat where ever you are, millenium stadium dosent do crap seats? My preference would be back straight block U30, as for hotels i just cant help, I think you will be really lucky to get anything! hope this helps ghostie

More tips for you : Dont drive, get the train or coach. Go see the castle on sunday its gorgeous For this year we booked on the night that the date was announced on sky speedway, weve also booked into the guest house for sunday night to so that we can have a night out in cardiff after sight seeing on sunday. We sat in top tier 1st time, was good, but a bit far away from the action. last year we sat on bottom tier, was ok but not ideal. This year we have booked middle tier and on front row, on home straight just after 4th bend, been told this will be wicked spot. As for booking hotels, it seems that alot of rooms get booked up in bulk, then discarded at last minute with people hedging thier bets, and some even doing it in protest at inflated hotel prices, , and trust me, they do get inflated for the GP !which you can expect. Look up guest houses on cathederal road on yell.com, there are loads. good luck. one thing is for certain, you will love the atmosphere, the racing, and the whole experience, and so will the kids ! London Witch
We've bought family tickets in all 3 tiers over the years. Last year we had seats in the upper tier for the first time, I think they were in U34 on the second bend. Decent view, great atmosphere but as others have already said there are no poor seats in the Millennium Stadium.

A long as your not afraid of heights then its a great view up there, you should be able to get quite a low row too at the moment, try each block to see which has the lowest row available. Seating plan here : http://www.speedwayworld.tv/cardiff2007/seatingplan.gif But like everyone is saying there isn't a bad seat anywhere, just down to prsonal preference.
