Steve Shovlar
but if it had been at Poole no doubt Kennett wouldn't have had any advantage in your eyes <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Poole is a far fairer track than Monmore, with less home advatage. Of course if the meeting had been run there Eddie would have had the same advantage. Perhaps hold the meeting at a neutral track would have been the fairest way. Everyone knows DH is at Cardiff due to the final being at Monmore. Period.
Aries
Lol..not a happy Bunny was he. He came across as desperate tonight, very hard in a couple of heats. Don't think he likes playing second fiddle to Bomber! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats why we'll probably see him back at Foxhall next year as our number 1. One of the 3 Coventry boys will have to go Well done Bomber, fast becoming my favourite rider and looks the only rider capable of filling Mark Lorams boots in the entertaining stakes. Also a very well done to David Howe another good lad who's improved big style this year and deserves his wild card.
847084
I said somewhere on this thread that Howe should win by the proverbial due to the massive home advantage he had, and so it proved. He was on the inside of Eddie so it was always going to be an impossible task, but Eddie gave it his best shot and only just fell short. You are right of course, anywhere else and Eddie would no doubt have breezed it. Still, that's the way it goes. Trouble is now Eddie misses out at Cardiff, where I had no doubt he would have heavily rocked the boat and scored quite well. A real gutter and shame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which was it then? Home track advantage or gate position? And I dispute strongly the assertion that Kennett would beat David on every neutral track. What an absurd and blinkered view. London Witch
You are spot on Suzie Q and Shovlar if this meeting had been on any other track Eddie would be going to Cardiff and Howe, i doubt would of been anywhere to be seen. Any other track but Wolves and Eddie would have been going to Cardiff! ...... I guess that means he'd have won at Cardiff too? Yeah right! jronayne
Well done to Bomber and David Howe - well deserved on tonights performances. Olly Allen & Eddie Kennett can be proud of their nights work! Great to see two Panthers in the lineup after years without anybody! Excellent night for Danny King while Richard struggled but they both did us proud! Once again congratulations to Chris Harris - top man & Britain's #1! Bagpuss
Everyone knows DH is at Cardiff due to the final being at Monmore. Period. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He is at Cardiff because he was the second best rider on the night. You seem to have conveniently forgotten that Eddie beat him in heat one. Its a pity that you and some others can't come on here and congratulate the riders without having an agenda
lupus
Lets all look forward to both their averages at the end of the season and who gets picked for the WTC! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah lets judge it on getting picked for the WTC....remind me again, who is GB Team manager? What team does he manage the rest of the time? Which of Kennett and Howe rides for that team?......yeah lets use a non-biased way of judging it like that shall we? Another candidate for Shovlar-World I see!!!!! Edited June 4, 2007 by lupus

Everyone knows DH is at Cardiff due to the final being at Monmore. Period. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. Great idea. let's hold next year's british Final in Latvia. That is certainly neutral. 2. Wrong, he won the wild card because he was a better rider tonight. And, as I have posted elsewhere, his wildcard confirms his position as the highest placed british rider in the EL averages behind Scott and Chris. Period. Steve Shovlar
Steve Ok neutral track it is...KINGS LYNN JIROUT <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah. Backside of nowhere and too far off the beaten track. Seriously, why not? Hold it at a track where all riders start even. If some ride the track better, well good luck! Howe has had a much better season than last year but his home scoring is giving his average. He comes to Poole and never gets close to winning a heat. Still, he is at Cardiff and I hope he does well otherwise it would have been a waste of time.
Guest Schumi
I guess that means he'd have won at Cardiff too? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is it possible we might find that out? Doesn't Eddie now become a track reserve? And in the last two GPs we've seen the reserves get a ride. Edited June 4, 2007 by Schumi
Starman2006
Congratulations must go to Chris Harris and David Howe who have both rode so well all season, especially David who in a lot of quarters has been pulled to pieces on this forum by the where are they now knockers???. But i feel just a little sorry for our Eddie who rode soo bloody well to get to the final. IMO Scott Nicholls did him no favours whatsoever by continually running Eddie to the fence. Scott had no chance of winning the race so why stop Eddie mounting a challenge on David of which he still could have done. By being continually run to the fence by Scott, Eddie lost a lot of Lengths!!. Some might say Scotts bike was quicker and he was going for third place, but Eddie was playing for a British GP place, bit of a difference me thinks!!. Keep your chin up and continue riding as you have been, your turn will come!!. Edited for spelling mistake. Steve Turner
Everyone knows DH is at Cardiff due to the final being at Monmore. Period. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Everyone might believe that if Kennett's average was better than David's, which it isn't...maybe if his away average was better, but it isn't. Maybe last year's averages might help...err, nope. Averages aren't opinions. Just because some of Eddie's fans believe he should be going to Cardiff, it doesn't mean he's earned the right. David Howe has done that.
