bazaar3
Well looks like a good camp to be in can't see howe dropping a point on his own track in the form he's in, he only has to turn up to get the wildcard . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha - Kennett kicked his G.I Joe, the last time they met and that was a couple of weeks ago scoring 11 points to Howe's 6. After watching Eddy this season, I am confident he can finish third behind Nicholls and winner Harris.

Steve Shovlar
Obvious why King got the nod. Plying his trade in the EL. Compton has stuck to the PL. Edited June 1, 2007 by Steve Shovlar

21st century heathen
Maybe its due to whose face fits!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps. I thought about this one and I thought maybe it's because only a few seasons ago Gary was still a competitive EL rider (whereas I've been told Andre never really pulled up many trees in the EL?), and he has been World Champion. I know that those days are well behind him now and Andre is probably the better rider but that is honestly the only reason I can think of. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Without being disrespectful to him, he was crap in the EL. He quit and took the easy option. It's, perhaps, this lack of ambition that has now come back to bite him on the @r$4? After watching Eddy this season, I am confident he can finish third behind Nicholls and winner Harris. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Keep dreaming... 21st century heathen
so comptons not in the top 16 british riders, and what facts do you base that on <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fact that there are about 18/12 Brits riding in the EL seems to be the reason he's being overlooked. Without official word, the reason Gary is in seems to be due to past performances. Whats Ed done at Monmore this season? Did he guest for Eastie on telly??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He scored 6 from 5. A CMA of 4.80. Every time I've seen him there he's been more effort than points. If he has a great night he may challenge for a place in the top 5/6. London Witch
Why is Compton miffed at not getting a place? It was his own decision to stick with PL. If he lacks ambition why should he be offered a place in this meeting at the expense of others riding in the top league!? Am I missing something? WATigerman
............on a gate and go track like sheffield.............. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quite. A real gate and go track if ever I saw one. Just like Shawn Moran was a real gate and go rider who never really got to grips with the place. WATigerman
Only because moran had lots of good GEAR <{POST_SNAPBACK}> . Exactly. He just gated and went. The bike did the rest. Renowned for his gating skills was Shawn. Lucky that his jet propelled starts meant that no one could ever get near enough to him to make him have to race. 21st century heathen
Tai will outscore Ed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He may struggle a little bit for pace. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on
Blazeaway
He may struggle a little bit for pace. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One thing he won't struggle for is pace, his bikes are as quick as anyones. His gating will have to be super sharp though. I fancy him and Lewis to really get amongst the more favoured names and ruffle a few feathers.
