hyderd
Maybe Sheffield was chosen because. A..It is a nuetral track to the riders competing. B..It is also a very good racetrack. C..It does have good facilitys. D..It is central to all fans EL PL and CL,the furthest track north is Glasgow 268 mls,the furthest track south is Plymouth 246 mls. C..As for the day, has,nt it occured to you all that maybe they could,nt get a Weekend,so they stuck to Sheffield,s normal racenight.

If not, then I assume that one will be installed for this meeting. I would still like to know if there is an alternative date for re-staging should it be a very wet night? The SAINT
no air fence at sheffield, which has a good reputation for safety.
spin king
And who not to say that the BSPA will not fit one for this meeting, but Sheffield does have the reputation of being a safe track.
Rob B
Off the top of my head can't remember riders names but there has been quite a few bad injuries at Sheffield over the last few years, wouldn't call it a safe track. One rider broke both his legs.
mckenna
There's always good racing at sheffield though! Stoke and Worky meetings always were good when Steady was still riding in the prem.

buzzybee
Correct me if im wrong, but didn't Mark Loram have a very nasty crash there a few years ago?. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because the track was flooded and he couldn't see basically, rather than anything to do with Sheffields fence or safety record. Sorry - Silver Bee on Buzzy's account.

One rider broke both his legs. Correct me if im wrong, but didn't Mark Loram have a very nasty crash there a few years ago?. And these were the track? So because Mark Loram rode into another rider because he could not see and didn't Lee Derbyshires front wheel collapse? On any speedway track, if you're going fast enough and come off, you don't have to hit the fence, just hiting the solid floor will hurt. spin king
Correct me if im wrong, but didn't Mark Loram have a very nasty crash there a few years ago?. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That race should never have been allow to take place, and was nothing to do with the Sheffield promotion. It was the World Team cup, and the trak was unridable, Loram collided with the starting gate. Edited March 4, 2007 by spin king
