SpeedwayTShirts
We've been made surplus to requirements at Coventry this year Presentation wise so hopefully catch up with all the Bees Fans at some of the away matches as I've taken on a new residency for Fridays now! Oh great! I hope they have got a good replacement standing by because you will be a hard act to follow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It seems to be all to do with finances and the opinion that people are there to watch speedway and not to be entertained by music etc. Sandhu isn't a millionaire for nothing and if he's saving money then thats great but hopefully not at the detriment to peoples overall enjoyment of the evening. But there's no hard feelings from us, I'll always be a Bees Fan !! The thing you've got to remember I think is as opposed to football where you see 90 mins of action, with speedway and 15 races of about 60 secs it leaves a lot of time to be filled!! And I personally think we did an excellent job over the last few seasons getting the crowd involved both with the presentation and also with providing the Entertainment for the Dinner Dance's. And even my Neil Diamond at the Stock Car World Final To be honest I am gutted to be excluded (if you pardon the pun ) this year. I'll really miss it! Gemini
I'm really sorry to hear that and I can't understand the reasoning behind the decision because Speedway night's at Brandon have been so much more enjoyable since you have been doing the music. Its not just about the racing - as you say there is an awful lot of time to fill in. I suppose that means we'll get even more waffling on from Peter York now. I presume that is the end of the after-meeting discos as well? I didn't go myself due to the other half being a miserable so & so who always wants to go straight home (hope he doesn't read this!) but they always looked very well attended. Surely that would be good for business at the bar etc. Strange decision.
Silver Bee
It's not going to be the same without the music in the bar. Atmosphere in there was never as good when there wasn't any.
Phil
Riders might be able to make Thursday night but what about the fans! A Sunday would have been far better. For me £40 for 2 adults is too steep. It early days but they really need to get decent sponsorship for the meetings and give the riders something to race for! A new jawa bike which most riders end up selling on it a waste of time to them! I guess they could always have the option of a new conservatory or double glazing! London Witch
Riders For me £40 for 2 adults is too steep. I agree, £40 for 2 adults is a bit steep. And why does junior price always end at age 15, when will people realise that school is compulsory until aged 16? £55 for us, plus programmes before thinking about petrol, food etc, etc. I'm afraid its outpriced this household. But if at school they should pay child prices

Also it will be phased in if it does get adopted so it will be a number of years before it comes to pass!!! hyderd
I for one can,t wait for this match as Owlerton is one of, if not the fairest track in the country,as for the £20 admission fee,it,s only £5 more than we pay to see 2 top riders(1 from each team)so surely £20 to see the top 16 EL riders is,nt that bad. Also, some of you(and i dont mean B Vue )will get to see 2 of your riders . Another thing,it will give me chance to cheer on my 10th favourite rider, who will probably be picking up the siverware.
The SAINT
just a pity andre can't be in the line up to really liven the evening up....wild card maybe? a compton/steady rematch (and throw in nicki and hans) and lets get ready to rumble!!!!!!!i worth20 quid of anyones money
scousedave
Its a shame that the fans dont seem to be getting too optimistic or enthusiastic about these "Super 7 Series" matches, or whatever they are called. I hope that they are a success and the fans dig deep, get their wallet's out, and support the riders or clubs of their choice. At least Chapman has had a go at doing something about these events, they have been a bit rubbish in recent years. Also its a good move to allow children under 11 in free of charge and I hope we can look back on this series at the end of the year and say it was successful. KevH
Just like Poole was easy for us to get to last year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To be fair, it was at the weekend though.
Pollyanna
Well it is different. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But not family entertainment, is it? Do you think J. Chapman knows what he booked for an occasion when he is trying to encourage the kids along. The men may like this, but to women it's bread-and-bread!! big lebowski
Can't wait for ELRC at Sheffield. Haven't been there for years, but will definitely go to this. I agree that maybe chucking Compton & A.N. Other Sheffield rifer in would be a good idea.
21st century heathen
I agree that maybe chucking Compton & A.N. Other Sheffield rifer in would be a good idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would just be more padding in the specially prepared cell (not for you) if you ask me. It's the ELRC, and should not include lower league riders.
