Why did you do that Shadders? Not funny

I was sitting outside the stadium in the pouring rain and was acting on information received. The rain was FAR worse than last Monday when the Worky/Plymouth double header was postponed.

People I spoke to outside couldn't believe it when news filtered through that the ref said "lets go".

Wasn't intending to decieve anyone, I'm not like that. :(

Oh, and thanks and well done to Bryn for stepping in at the last minute to announce. Hope you've untied your tongue after some of those Russian & Polish names. ;)

Just goes to show what utter crap is said about the Rye track when two Russians, used to motorway lenghth tracks show up the brits on a 'trick track'

Thanks Bryn on your commy.....what was that Russian's name again? :D

One complaint tho'...as always the programme errors were abysmal....in heat 8 we had Chris Neath, Ray Morton, Carl Stonehewer and Matt Carpanese.

And that was just one example...littered with errors..please Len find a decent printer who's proof reader aint Mr Magoo.

Tell peter waite to snap him up then.

If he was available for UK racing I would suggest there would be a lengthy queue.

He came off in his first ride whilst putting Tai under pressure but after that was wheel perfect. His colours were only lowered again in his last ride by Ivanov but 2nd place was all that he required to win the meeting.

I will follow his career with some interest and hopefully he will ride for a UK club one day.

Shadders just texted me to say meetings off. Restaged Monday.

Like a lot of people i also heard it was off. luckily got another call to say it wasn't. But lots of people left the stadium assuming it was off, that little rumour must have cost len a fortune! Justice really, when you whack the prices up and dont tell anyone. No mention of price hike on here, in the star, or on the website. Why do we always feel the need to rip the public off in this country? 3 weeks ago i watched another qualifier in germany, 9 euros plus 1 for prog. Last night £15 plus £2-50 prog, that had more mistakes than a millard commentary. Germany has roughly the same cost of living as we do. So can anyone explain why it's 150% dearer to watch the same type of meeting here than it is there?

Well done to the British lads going through along with Ben Barker and well done to Troy for qualifying although the tapes exclusion probably cost you the meeting win.

Real shame that the weather was so bad all Saturday and leading upto it as it could have been a belter of a meeting in good conditions.

Made other plans in the end as you were never going to get any decent or proper racing on a surface that was that wet.

Fancied Sayfutdinov would do well and he looks abit special from his results.

All others expected to get through did apart from Tressarieu.
