Sandie
That is correct, Sandie. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not quite true anymore. Spoke to Tim Gomez last night and he said that he could no longer afford the payments required for having the medical etc as he is only at reserve. So I guess the reserve spot goes to someone else. Chris
Line up is: Aus Troy Batchelor Robert Ksiezak US Kenny Ingalls Dale Facchini Ger Tobias Busch Stefan Kurz Pol Maciej Piaszcynski Kamil Brzozowski NZ Andrew Bargh Russia Emil Sayfutdinov Daniil Ivanov France Mat Tressarieu Another Frenchman to be announced GB Tai Woffinden Lewis Bridger William Lawson Reserves Adam Roynon Steve Boxall Looks a good line up. Some good young talent in Sayfutdinov and Ivanov and will be interesting what the Poles can do at Rye! Tressarieu is good round Rye. Looks very competitive and should get some good racing. Hazzman
What time is the start? I may travel down but I don't want the prospect of being stuck near Luton on M1 at 10.30pm. If it's around 6pm, I may chance my arm.

bazaar3
Tressarieu, woffinden and Emil Sayfutdinov are my predicted top 3 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have got to be joking. Troy Batchelor should walk this meeting due to the fact he has the highest average in the UK out of all these riders plus he is flying for Poole at the moment. I think Sayfutdinov 2nd, Bridger 3rd and then either one of the Poles or Woffinden will be 4th.

I reckon Tai should win it, but don't know enough about the rest of the field to predict a 1,2,3.
Onc Onc
anyone got any idea what uncle Len is likely to charge us at the gate for this one, plus will this be a crowd puller, or a damp squib

He also revealed that Hoddesdon will have a World U-21 semi final next season and is likely to stage the final the season after. No idea what the crowd will be like, soggy probably. salty
Hope there aren't any visa problems like the Sheffield meeting last year (or was it the year before) and that the Russians get to ride. If Sayfutdinov comes to terms with the track he should do well. Would be good for the sport if a young Russian can make a mark at World level. My top 3 Tai, Batchelor, Sayfutdinov. But Boxall will be up there if he gets in the meeting. Edited May 11, 2007 by salty

AndyM
Looks a good line up. Some good young talent in Sayfutdinov and Ivanov and will be interesting what the Poles can do at Rye! Tressarieu is good round Rye. Looks very competitive and should get some good racing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Poles will undoubtedly have some trouble acclimatising to the track, but it is a promising line-up. Hope Stevie B gets a chance in lieu of Frenchman no 2! Mind you, what are the chances of running the event today? Looks a bit dodgy to me... but that's better than what I have to do tonight - sleep in a tent in a muddy field populated with lots of camping cubs. A very in-tents experience (groan!)
