uk_martin
Yes, but I'll be coming to Germany next year. Is the German Championship always at this time of year? Also, where are Gustrow and Stralsund? I was hoping for somewhere no more than an houre or so by train from Munich, which is why I was hoping that Olching or Landshut might have something happening there? iris123
Like Matty says,Stralsund and Güstrow are about as far away from Munich as you can get. You'd be better off travelling to Austria or Slovenia But yes,the German speedway season always runs until October. You might be lucky next season. As the German Championship and the U21 Finals are in the north this year they should be in the south next. When and where though, it is far too early to say

Bavarian
Bundesliga Play-Off Final is at Landshut on the afternoon of October 3 (National Holiday in Germany). Landshut is easy to reach from Munich via train (about 60km away). You will probably have to take a taxi from the train station to get out to the speedway track at Ellermuhle, which is about 5km out of Landshut. DutchGrasstrack
Christian Hefenbrock was involved in a bizarre accident at an Individual meeting in Germany on Saturday which has left him in hospital. Christian was competing in the meeting, believed to be at Liepzieg, and had just won his 4th ride, whilst completing a victory lap he was riding towards the start line as track staff pulled down the starting tapes, unfortunately Christian got tangled up in them and was thrown over his handlebars, resulting in the handlebars digging into his ribs and stomach. Christian was taken to hospital and detained overnight with internal injuries and bruising to his ribs. It's been confirmed that he will miss Monday's Play Off Semi Final at Swindon, although its to soon to say if he will miss Thursday's re arranged ELB match with Reading at the Showground. Panthers no 8 Ulrich Ostergaard comes in to replace Hefenbrock at Swindon, in what is now the most important fixture of the season for both clubs.
