tarabanko
There will be two testmatches between Sweden and Denmark on 80cc this year. Järfälla, Veddestavallen hosts the first clash on May 26 the same day as the GP are in Eskilstuna. On May 27 the two giants in 80cc are racing it out in Västervik. KevH
Danish Speedway League has a new web-site.And all the fixtures are on it!! So no meeting in Denmark the day after the SWC meeting in Vojens? Looks like the bars in Hamburg could be rejoicing then.

We couldn't find an interesting away team who wanted to face us on the sunday (rider commitments in Poland !). Sad but true. Peter
iris123
Would have been a good crowd as well. Anyway having seen the squads what are you predictions for the season?Slangerup look very strong, especially in the A + B rider department, with Harris,Walasek,Risager,K.Hansen,Aldén to back up Jesper.Even Vedel and Lowicki as C riders .Holsted look as strong in the A + B section. In fact some of the B section look very good.Depends how often Nicki is available really, but look weak in the C or D department.Brovst and Esbjerg look good as well.Good to see Hefenbrock in.Plus good to see some of the Swedish youngsters included.L.Lindgren + Gustafsson. And so many meetings(on so many days) to choose from.Think i might have to buy a tent and camp out in Denmark for the summer

f-s-p
You might say he's one of our "old guard". I think he's 32 and been around the sport since aged 10. He's ridden in all the Swedish leagues and was in Elitserien in the late 90's. Valsarna was his club? Been in the Finnish top 5 for some years now, alltough had a break when organizing his license and was Kaj Laukkanen's mechanic when he was in the GP's and before that too. Wont ride the full season. TwoMinuteWarning
I see that this is basically a Wednesday night league. But Holstebro are riding some matches on other days to avoid fixture clashes with Bjarne Pedersen's regular Wednesday nights at Poole. This is quite unusual - it's usually Britain that has to change it's fixtures to fit in with everyone else! Still disappointed about no June 10 match at Slangerup though ... iris123
With this system it is hard to say really.Last year there was more strength in depth.Holsted had Nicki + Puk together,so the opposition had to face two top riders. This year there is(or yesterday was)one top rider in each team.It was good that they face each other at least 4 times(can't wait for Nicki v Hans ).So he was definitely the second best rider there and looked good.He beat Ryan once when Ryan was left at the gate and finished last.Other than that he was beating Ryan once when his bike packed up,although Ryan looked like he was swooping around the outside at the time. Was that coz Karols bike was slowing? He is definately one i would like to see again in a stronger line-up. Anyway a good start to the new league.Cameras were there although just local tv,but i heard that the Danish channel DK4 will be showing highlights of league meetings during their GP coverage
