PS Had my Pipty cent on Corey! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a pleasure BFD, happy new year to you also. Rumour has it that as today has gone so well, Fremantle may cover the final round of the championships at Mount Gambier, but this is not yet confirmed. Bryn
Scorers (in programme order): Elliot Myers 0 Trevor Harding 10 (4th after run off) Mitchell Davey 6 Kozza Smith 9 Arlo Bujega 4 Mark Jones 8 James Holder 7 Robert Ksiezak 6 Tyron Procter 12 (3rd) Cory Gathercole 14 (1st) Ryan Sedgman 3 Jay Herne 10 (6th after run off) Lee Herne 10 (5th after run off) Tom Hedley 13 (2nd) Aaron Summers 7 Daine Stevens 2 Kane Munro (res) 0 Great meeting and what a run off for the final place with Harding and LEE Herne (not Jay as announced) swopping places several times before Harding snatched victory re-passing LH exiting the final bend. Top four go thru

chopper
Yes Robert had a night to forget a tape exclusion and a first bend fall dashing his hopes. Some great racing with Kossa Smith good to watch and also Mark Jones one of my favorites with there all out style. plus all the qualifiers .The two sixteen year olds Sedgman and Davey were certainly not out of there depth in this field and look to have bright futures. The aussie title night has a lot to live up to. Guest Sir Lunchalot
I am assuming Live Updates dosen't have this one!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Darn if I had thought sooner I could have done live updates. I needed something to do when the quads were on. As it was I had to chat to Mark Martin and fix a few of the worlds speedway problems, shame no one else was listening !! If one of the Oz yahoo board listees was at home I would have done a race by race update for the yahoo boards but he was at Gosford and I didn't think soon enough about contacting anyone from live updates. The run off for the final qualifying spot was the race of the season (and yes I know the season hasn't finished yet but it will be !!). Harding in front for two laps, Lee Herne got by on lap 3, then the lead changed 3 times on the last lap. Funny old night in some regards with some favoured riders missing out. Ksiezak had a meeting he would want to forget (3,T,0,1,2), a tapes exclusion and a fall / remount for no points made it tough and after that he didn't seem to be as interested as he might have been. Mark Jones had a fall which cost him dearly, then had 4 second places which wasn't quite what he would have been hoping for. "Weird one of the night" award went to young Ryan Sedgeman. He started off with two blobs then in ride 3 he had a blinder and gated in first and held off Mark Jones for a win, which he then followed by two more blobs. Gathercole was consistent throughout only dropping a point to Tom Hedley, and Hedley himself was very impressive with 4 wins and a 3rd in his other outing after originally leading. I did wonder if he had a mechanical problem in that ride. Roll on the title proper !!

Guest Jim Blanchard
Hi Rod, Fancy seeing you here. I think there is a lot of interest here on the OZ scene. What with brother Bryn on your shores and of course Sir L there all getting enthused by it all. Its bound to rub off a bit on us speedway starved fans.
