What Gp's Are You Going To In 2007?

Recommended Posts

Also trying to sort Malilla but don't know where to fly to, hoping to go for 4 days so need to stay somewhere where somethings going on.  Might it be better to stay in a big city and travel in by train on the day for the GP?

For Mallila last year I flew to Gothenburg, hired a car and stayed in Jonkoping (about halfway between the two).

This year I am planning on flying to Norrkoping (Ryanair) on the Sat, driving to the GP and then back to the airport and the early flight home - worked ok for the GP qualifier in Vetlanda last year

Not too much in the way of accomodation near Mallila so heading back north after the GP and staying at Norrkoping or Linkoping is your best bet. If you are going for a few days you can probably catch a Swedish league meeting on the Thursday

And the German GP, is it easy enough to fly in for that or is it miles away from any airports?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

We are flying to Cologne and getting the train to Essen and staying there. Another alternative would be to fly to Dortmund, about 30 mins away.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice, booked in Malilla now with Travel Plus tours for £400 each. Seemed pretty reasonable, get a free match the night before and all tickets, travel etc included . Was going to be £500 through our local travel agent to stay in Stockholm and then you've got train tickets and stadium tickets etc.

Cheers Anyway,

German GP is probably one of the easiest to fly to, you can fly to Dortmund, Dusseldorf or Cologne, all pretty much the same distance (Cologne is slightly further). Lots of cheap airlines fly to them so you should find a decent deal, we are flying to Dusseldorf with Air Berlin, £45 each.

Check out http://www.skyscanner.net great site to find the cheapest flights.

Can't comment on Travel Plus, never used them, never will, don't need to, but I understand some people like everything planned for them. But that travel agent price is ridiculous, you can fly to Sweden for under £100 easily.

We do a lot of GP's because each one never really costs us more then about £150 each.

Must agree with rob here, i'd be horrified if a g.p. cost me more than £150. Travel, front row ticket and hotel in gelsenkirchen £90 the lot.

Friday night - Somerset Premier League Pairs

Saturday - Cardiff

Sunday - Rye House to see the Bears beat them Rockets

My plan is:

Friday Night: Somerset for Pairs, then town afterwards maybe.

Saturday Night: Drink up in Cardiff, be there about 2 o clock, then to the GP, then into Newport town again afterwards

Sunday: Chill out with a couple of pints over the Welsh open

Hopefully Roo can get time off work and get his Cumbrian arse down for a 3 day drinking extravaganza :D

Sums up my weekend, probably minus the alcohol on Friday as I'll be driving to Somerset.
