TwoMinuteWarning
This will be the first time GB have entered a UEM speedway competition. It will be a great way for such talented riders as Lewis Bridger, Josh Auty, Tai Woffinden and others to gain some experience of continental tracks. Not to mention putting themselves in the shop window to get some Continental bookings.
iris123
Sounds like a step in the right direction. But is Woffinden British or Australian?.Always seems to be different opinions on this.
TwoMinuteWarning
Is anybody really sure? Born in Scunthorpe, riding on a British ACU licence - but that dosen't mean a thing!
iris123
I just have the worry he will use the system to his advantage.Use British nominations for a while, then jump ship and become an Aussie when he moves into the senior ranks.Hope i am wrong though

iris123
Oh no!You will start some of our members off.Kevin Meynell has a sort of "Subedei" thing about UEM competitions and the Club Competition in particular. But it is a bit of a joke the way some teams recruit riders just for one match
Bavarian
Do they know that as newcomers the Brits will proabably have to enter at the Preliminary round stage - which presents them with a trip to ROMANIA in April of 2007 ! Nice one for the yougsters ! If they are among the qualifiers, there are three semi-finals - they may choose from going to either Finland, Latvia or Hungary ! Who really wants to go there for a little bit of continental experience ?!
