Ozyace
Thank you for the post Sandie, Lunchy must be a busy boy, prolly at the bar drinking Bundy's with Bryn. Bloody well done Johno, i know there is a long way to go in the series but this might put a smile on the Oxford fans (doubters) face. Two EF's from Leigh what the hell is going on? Sorta screws up the focus of the championship. Come in Big Fat Dave you have got somthing to say about everything, so i'm all ear's.
Sandie
No problem Oz. I know I am being a bit premature here but is the title decided on an accumilation of points gathered over the 20 heats per meeting? Or do you get anything for the final as well. If Rory can keep this up I will be very pleased. Lunch - what happened to Rory in the final - I need details please!!!! (when your sober!! )
Speedy swindon pete
Can any one tell me if Leigh was using his old Jawa's or the GM's which he is apparently moving onto. Not good news at all if he was using the GM's which are supposedly more reliable

Not good news at all if he was using the GM's which are supposedly more reliable <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AFAIK, it's rarley the engine that causes a stopage (you tend to know when it is as it goes bang and you see smoke), it's nomrally chains, ignitions and carbs that go wrong. With my limited mechanical expertise I'd say it's unlikely an engine would stop twice but the ignition or the carb could cause problems through out a meeting. speedway_dan
Will be very interesting to see how Tom Hedley does in the next round/s. Could well be in with a shout at finding a late berth in the UK for 2007.

tanya
Does anyone know if the rounds of the Australian Solos are due to be aired on UK cable/satellite channels anywhere?
mp2
Leigh's failures in Newcastle were caused by losing a chain and an ignition box failure. Scott Nicholls had an old-school blow-up in the B-Final in Sydney, in fact a piece of the engine hit Cory Gathercole in the chest!

Dougal
Bryn, Many thanks for writing your Aussie blog (tried to comment on the blog itself but it wouldn't let me unless I joined something!) it's great to hear all the news whilst here in dreary and drizzley Swindon (even if I don't have a clue what Bundy is!). Looking forward to your next news, and give Johnno a big cheer from me for the rest of the series - Karen
Sandie
To use Scott's own words, "the engine grenaded itself!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope he keeps all the bits!! Last year I know the Schleins had problems getting equipment back home (England) as they had to take back all that went across. Customs just didnt understand that bits break!! Hopefully that guy wont be there with his clipboard this year!!

I feel like kicking myself for not sorting work out earlier, as i would have loved to have caught up with Randy again, as for yourself i will see you at Jay's Testy and the first buy is on you. Dougal - Bundy is a Rum, brewed in Bundeberg, Queensland, not to everyone's taste i might add but for myself it's necter of the gods. Also as Dougal said give a big 'Come on Shagga' to me mate. I'm phoning / texting through updates for Ron Malm to put on the yahoo boards and we might be able to save each other some duplicated effort. I try and get in the front row of the grandstand on turn one that looks (nearly) down the home straight. It's to the left as you look at the track (to the right if you had your back to the track) of the Merbein Hill. I'm short and jockey size with glasses and 50'ish. If you see Big Fat Dave on your travels he knows me !! (as does Bryn and a few others). It is 11 hours difference between Vic and the UK and you only lose/gain half an hour between SA and Vic.
