Lahti fought well against him but had no chance. Keskinen dropped points in places he shouldnt and then messed up his start in the final. When behind he was ordinary, fast while in front. Katajisto surprisingly lost to Mustonen in their heat. Autio looked very ordinary but got plenty of points in the preli's. Riders to pick and point out today were Mäkinen (of course), Lahti did well, Mustonen rode better (and with courage) than ever. Katajisto looked good but gated badly and could't fight back. Another good meeting for me in a row, alltough racing varied from heat to heat. I was also told that the Extraliiga meeting on friday was the best meeting in Finland this season racing wise. Results from that tomorrow afternoon. Edited July 8, 2007 by f-s-p

f-s-p
Thats good news, well done Jari did u take many photos? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only about 400+... Was too busy defending my opinions about tracks and riders to people who disagreed with my views. Strongly I might add. We took a minibuss load of people there too and raised some money for Jari on the side. We had one potential big sponsor with us also and he really liked what he saw in how Jari rode and acted off track. I have now completed my change of service provider when it comes to my domain and webspace. In practise it means I now have .php support and ready-to-use code to open up a photo gallery of my own. All I now need is a month to sort all my pics and put them online. So stay tuned for the gallery of "The Finnish Mike Patrick" Edited July 8, 2007 by f-s-p
Pantherman
how can that happen, people disagreeing with you thats just not right is it! Hope that you can get the sponsorship for Jari, he looks like he's heading in the right direction, so any help can help achieve his goal. Ps. dont let him go to Poole

Some very interesting development behind the scenes at the moment regarding Finnish Extraliiga speedway. Like said about the Pori meeting in three weeks, that look's to be a real cracker! Dekker
BTW, what would a Finnish rider get as a starting average in Premier League? 5.00 if he has no experience of top league action in Poland or Sweden, am I correct? Seems that way as Kalle Katajisto is coming to Edinburgh on a 5pt ave, any comments from the finnish mob?

Hopefully this will turn out for the better, and when Kalle gets his avg after the needed amount of matches he has a better chance of getting a team place in a few years. f-s-p
BTW, what would a Finnish rider get as a starting average in Premier League? 5.00 if he has no experience of top league action in Poland or Sweden, am I correct? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Copypasted from the ACU rulebook: ------------ 17.3.2 Assessed CMA's (and Grades) will be as follows: a) Work Permit Riders EL CMA PL CMA FIM Grand Prix Rider 8.00 not permitted Commonwealth Rider 3.50 7.00 Others (see note 1) 4.00 8.00 Other Riders FIM Grand Prix Rider 8.00 not permitted Professional League (note 2) 4.00 or 5.00 * 8.00 Others (note 3) 3.00 5.00 Conference League 3.00 3.00 Note 1 Including Riders that have not qualified or been selected, excluding nomination as a Wild Card for the FIM GP Series during this and the previous 2 seasons. Note 2 Riders that participate (or have participated) in Czech (Extra), Danish, Polish or Swedish Leagues. Where a Rider has achieved a 6.00+ CMA in either the Swedish or Polish Elite Leagues, then the EL entry CMA shall be 5.00. Note 3 Including Riders that have not qualified or been selected for the FIM GP Series during this and the previous 2 seasons, but not those Riders who have ridden in the CL as an Amateur. 17.3.2.1 Riders failing to achieve an actual CMA of 3.00, will be re-assessed to a CMA of 3.00. ------------ Katajisto was saved by the fact that he indeed has not ridden in any of the leagues considered to be a league by the BSPA/ACU. One heat in any of the Swedish leagues (Elitserien, Allsvenskan, 1st div) would have given him a starting average of 8.00 in the Premiere. Like pointed to me via an example of Daniele Tessari, this might turn out to be a good move. Providing Kalle gets his 6+6 meetings and stays in one piece.
