maybe this will make Ole Olsen look at why solid board can't be placed on the straight in front of the air fence. this is GP...riders take more of a chance. it was only a matter of time

Hve to agree with you there - a kick board especially on the straights is a MUST!

Get well soon Lukas

My post was not intended to be either flippant or humorous.

Anyone knows that Kevin Hammond is not capable of such remarks, of either a flippant or humous nature. ;):D

Us that know Addy and Kevin wouldn't have given there comments a second thought anyway,

But that's just the problem LW. Not everyone knows everyone on here and Cyclone would not have known Addy and Kevin Hammond were not being flippant.

The boot is on the other foot with me as I know Cyclone better than I know Kevin Hammond and Addy (I have only met Addy fleetingly :) )

My point is it's so easy to defend the people you know and not so easy to fathom out the ones you don't know.

For my part, I'll say that we're ALL good speedway fans on here.

As such no one takes any pleasure or delight in seeing racers get hurt.

As to the safety aspects, I have said some things about the airfence design elsewhere. But I will say this. I know accidents are not rare, but such an incidence as this should prompt some kind of official investigation. If it's obvious to us that there may be implications on the way tracks are set up, the design of the fence, the conduct and management of meetings etc. it should be obvious to those with the power to improve those facets of our sport.

Was Lukas reckless? Did Greg Squeeze him unfairly? Did the fence play a major part in the outcome?

I believe we can only answer yes to one of these questions.

Was Lukas reckless?

I don't think Lukas was reckless.

Did Greg Squeeze him unfairly?

At first I thought Greg had squeezed him unfairly but on watching the replays I feel Greg was just racing.

Did the fence play a major part in the outcome?

Definitely. I don't think the air fences are a good idea on the straights. They seem to suck in a rider if they get too close. As has been mentioned elsewhere they caused Paul Hurry's accident in the SWC also.

Denis, it appears you have made a typo in your user name - you have used an "m" instead of the "p" that should be there

Sure Kevin I can run with that no problem. Can you you run with Kevin Happond?. Or can you only give and not receive? You could also be known as, 'mrat'.

Hmmm an animated soft toy, from Penge, supports Reading, yet wears an avatar with the best part of Europe, Africa and Asia on it ...

Obviously a very interesting person ...
