Cardiff Gp 2007 Tickets For Sale

Recommended Posts

Due to unforeseen circumstances I have 2 booked Cardiff GP 2007 tickets for sale.

These are front row seats in Block 32 which is a great view coming off the 2nd bend - the booking is confirmed with Seetickets.

They cost £60 each but I'm willing to accept £40 each for them. The tickets obviously won't turn up until closer to the event but if anyone is interested then I'd be more than willing to make contact closer to the time for payment and then send them on as soon as I get them delivered.

If anyone is interested please either post here or send me a PM.

:)

Haha - don't think BSI would ever get that desperate!

Shazz - they are my tickets I'm afraid. This was always going to be our last Cardiff anyway, the cost of the weekend is getting too much to justify going forward tbh - for the cost of Cardiff I could book a week away in the Med or similar and that's crazy.

I'll be there in spirit anyway! :D

I meant the weekend as a whole...by the time you add up the cost of petrol (£60+) to get there, hotel (£240 for 2 nights in a hotel where it usually costs £50 a night any other time!), GP tickets (£120), food, drink and other spending (for example Newport Speedway on the Friday night), it's close to £500. Sure I could drive up and back on the day, but that's not my idea of fun having done that the first year...plus I'd be the one who'd end up having to be behind the wheel!

Most people go to Cardiff not just for the one day but two making it an expensive weekend. The Holiday Inn price has increased mega since the first Cardiff last year, so we go for a hotel a little walk from the stadium even that one is £240 for two nights unless of course you book in bulk then there are discounts available. Then there is the spending money, ticket money, travel there and back.

Sometimes it's cheaper to take in 2 or 3 other GP's rather than just the one British GP which has a much larger crowd than most yet seems to be one of the most expensive.

We don't stay in Cardiff anymore. There's quite a few travel lodge style hotels on the English side of the severn bridge that give easy access to the motorway and they don't put their prices up.

Try camping at Lavernock Point in Penart about 3 mile away. £6 a night with bar on the site and it gets full of speedway supporters. Brill weekend

I can't see Rabbit camping out :D but I agree there must be cheaper alternatives before giving Cardiff a miss. Paying less for the tickets, finding cheaper accommodation a little way out of Cardiff for example.

Anyway Rabs what's the problem? You are both working and have no children spending any of your cash. You should be rolling in money. :P

With the size of my mortgage and car loan - I wish!

I was talking generally about the cost of the weekend and it being one of the reasons why 2007 was likely to be our last year attending the GP.

However, my reason for selling these tickets is nothing to do with affordability - just timing.

Rabs, please do not sell your tickets. We enjoy seeing you there. There must be coaches going from Poole. Maybe for the 2 of you the coach would be £60, which would make the cost £120 with your tickets. Make a packed lunch, that'll save you money. I'll buy you a drink at the meet up (You'll come now :wink: )
