Queensland Under 16 Solo Champs

Held at the Gold Coast Speedway yesterday (Saturday) afternoon - and boy was the weather great - around 28 degrees CELCIUS not Fahrenheit! Anyway result was:

 

1. Darcy Ward

2. Jake Moore

3. Nick Morris

4. Clinton Dennis

I know mate. Must be terrible. Sunshine, bundy, speedway, lovely ladies, more bundy, --such a hard thing to have to do!!!

 

Yep it sure is hell at times but I'm being brave and coping as best I can! Off to Tamworth (no NOT the one in Staffs!) this Saturday for NSW Senior Title & latest round of NSW Junior Title.

Congratulations to all the boys, general opinion was that the Junior final was the race of the night, although in my opinion it should of been re run as the boys had only travelled two and a half laps when Dennis went down.

 

Darcy certainly looks class and handled the tricky conditions well, the track suited the bigger kids and was much better for the final after it had been graded.

 

One moment of note from the final when Nick Morris layed his bike down to avoid Dennis, first on the scene was none other than Ivan Mauger...now there's one for the family fact file.
