Dixie the rev
I find it hard to read some of the comments made about the classic. Do people relised how much work went in to this meeting. Yes the track was diffacult on 3rd and 4th bend and what people are saying about the track how many have ever worked on a track to know what they are on about
newspeed
all meeting are hard to get on with the weather being how it is...mostly unpredictabale... Congratulations to the riders for racing and the staff and everyone involved making the meeting happen
SCB
Infact, Vince is right on this one, I was wrong to refer to anyone (even if they were un named) as an "ass licker". So I apologise.
stevebrum
he knows David won't be able to win any individual meetings this year while Bomber is winning GP's for fun. Bomber decided on the last bend to give David and the Wolves fans something to cheer about in what will be a terrible 2007 for them <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   biggest tongue in cheek post yet. total rubbish too tho as well Second string in GP shocker - i can see the headlines
Silver Bee
Second string in GP shocker - i can see the headlines <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â And I can see how the start of the story would go... shirls
Really enjoyed the meeting, was great to see some speedway again. Really felt for Bomber that win was his all the way until he hit that rut on the fourth bend of the last lap, fair play to Howe though he had rode well all through the meeting. Guest Steve Dixon
I find it hard to read some of the comments made about the classic. Yes the track was diffacult on 3rd and 4th bend and what people are saying about the track how many have ever worked on a track to know what they are on about <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   Absolutely  I saw a nice little hole on turn one(which SCB reckons was sludge!!) that Richard Hall hit that propelled him off his bike, but its only what i expected after all the bad weather, all at Newport did well to get the meeting on. The Little Un
And I can see how the start of the story would go... David Howe has been handed the wildcard for the British GP In Cardiff.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  I think you will find that they were talking about a Coventry second string winning a GP: However that is due to some people thinking that speedway has all of a sudden abolished third heatleaders, even though all promoters talk about their heatleader trio.  Best wishes, Judy
Sandie
Infact, Vince is right on this one, I was wrong to refer to anyone (even if they were un named) as an "ass licker". So I apologise. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OMG - SCB says it again. But good on you SCB for standing up and being counted  And Vince you said: I will happily talk to anybody and have spoken to SCB several times when he has been polite and no problem to chat to. I personally have never known him any but polite and no problem to chat to. you just have to put your self in a position to get to know these people. If there was one rut, which they all seem to be moaning about: Then I would put Tim Stone's name down to prepare the GP tracks which sometimes remind you of trying to race speedway on railway lines.  Best wishes, Judy Edited January 18, 2007 by The Little Un
Vince
From my viewpoint I thought Bomber made his mistake on the way into the third turn which meant he couldn't get off turn four properly and cost him the race. Sandie, that is exactly my point, I do know and like SCB when I meet him but there is no denying that some of his posts on here don't match the person I know. Full marks to him for his last post accepting his mistake though - I might take a can of Special Brew up to Newport for him as a reward I do know quite a few people who post on here but obviously there are a lot more who I don't know. Since I met him last year with Pinny at Newport, I just can't bring myself to continue it, especially since both him and Pinny have love interests and have gone all sensible( more in SCB's case than Pinny mind). Sorry Pinny. I think I could even watch a speedway meeting with him without falling out with him. OK that's probably a bit too optimistic.  Edited January 18, 2007 by Tsunami

Fourentee
Come on Steve, I know it's only banter but give it a rest! Howe and Harris both rode extremely well at Newport (in any event I wouldn't knock anyone who gives it a go in the middle of January) and Harris was particularly generous to the winner in an E&S interview published on Monday. I hope Howe has the big season you're praying for and I also hope Harris beats the odds and qualifies top eight in the GPs to bag a place on merit for next year. Gemini
..... and no problem to chat to. It must be me but I do find him a problem to chat to as I often can't understand what he is saying. Lovely lad with a lovely Welsh accent though. I could listen to him talking all day, as long as he doesn't mind me looking blankly at him half the time as my brain is frantically trying to catch up. Gemini
Well, I did just say Hello as I rushed by so he didn't have time to talk and get me confused. No, actually I was looking for Full Throttle, my team captain, who I was told was at the back of the room. I wanted to make sure I still had a place because I had earlier emailed him to say I wouldn't be going. I wish I could have got there earlier then maybe we wouldn't have been called The Buckets and I wouldn't have been allotted the name of Hyacinth. Phil Silvers
It looked to me like Newport has much better viewing facilities than my own club Arena.  <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  That isn't difficult Judy, Arena's stadium is shocking and an insult to the sport Edited January 20, 2007 by Phil Silvers
Phil Silvers
Werner is also impressed for a 5.5 rider. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â That is because in reality Brent is easily a 7.5 rider in the prem, mind you Newport is one of his favoured tracks, unlike Sheffield, Kings Lynn, Isle of Wight, Berwick, Exeter (RIP) and Stoke.
