shazzybird
Nicholls – the leading British rider in the world – will bring his full Grand Prix outfit to Australia. “I’m not coming to Australia for a holiday – I’m approaching this very seriously and my intention is clear – I’m there to win.” “Scott has become a firm member of the Speedway Grand Prix establishment over the last five years and is the best British rider in the World. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If Scott is the best then it doesn't give the rest of the lads much competition does it really? Still with Crumpy there should make it a good meeting with Scott having all good intentions of winning, should be entertaining. Bryn am relying on you for an unbias report back and you Lunchy!! Guest Sir Lunchalot
No full line up mentioned yet There will be a qualifying meeting and if last year is any guide six will qualify from that, leaving ten automatic selections. My guess at the ten riders would be Crump Adams Nicholls Stead McGowan Schlein Holder Shields ??? ??? For the last two (not sure if they are all interested, I'm assuming here they all are) pick any two from Doolan, Johnston, Parker, Lemon, Lyons, Watt, Batchelor, Doyle, Watson and Woodward. Which ever way that selection goes there will be some upset riders at not being an automatic selection and having to qualify. Throw in the likes of Gathercole, Ksiezak, Mark Jones and a few others and the qualifying meeting should be a cracker too. I'll be there for four out of the five rounds (I've got another commitment on the Mt Gambier meeting night) and Bryn for all five rounds I assume so you should get something from us, even if it means us meeting up in the local internet cafe the next morning !! (Anyone know if Subedei is coming out here now Nicholls is riding ?)
SCB
In somewhat of a coup for the organisers of the five round tournament, Nicholls – the leading British rider in the world – will bring his full Grand Prix outfit to Australia. If he is the leading British rider, as Britain is part of the World, by definition, he is the leading British rider in the World. Sorry, it make me chuckle! I seem to remember reading that Craig Watson plans to compete. Wold imagine he'll have to qualify though.

Guest Sir Lunchalot
What about Todd Wiltshire? He was supposed to be riding or has this changed?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oops !! Knew I'd miss one. If he is riding (no idea if he is or he isn't by the way) I'd add him to my list of definites and only choose one from the "others" list. crazysue
Does anyone fancy putting the meeting results (from any Australian meetings) on the updates site when they happen, it doesn't have to be live ? A section is all set up and ready to go....also any info would be handy on there. Link to the site is in my sig. Thanks Edited November 11, 2006 by crazysue
Guest Sir Lunchalot
Crazysue, myself and another speedway fan do the updates to the yahoo boards for the Oz titles each year (well for the last two years anyway). I fill in the program and do the important things like go get more burgers and beer, he phones the results through to his wife, she puts them on the internet. Anyone is welcome to pinch the results from there. I can do a few of the other meetings that I go to such as the Ashley Jones meeting and the Vic & SA state titles (although there is a clash for me with the SA titles this year ).
