cwf
there have been rumors that Ryan is off Elite for 2007 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So that's Pepe Protasiewicz and Sullivan who have decided that Russia is a better bet than the Elite League for 2007. With the kind of money rumoured to be on offer in Russia i wonder how many others are tempted. Sunday in Poland, Tuesday in Sweden and Thursday in Russia may just be a better bet than the endless travelling involved doing a season in Britain. Liverstam
I would say it's a very real threat to the EL should the russian league really catch on.
Subedei
I would say it's a very real threat to the EL should the russian league really catch on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the short term, agreed. But in the long run, it could be a benefit, since necessity would become the mother of intention and Britain would have to fall back on her own resources. This should, in the long term, lead to a renaissance in the Elite League based on home produced riders. Hell, Britain might actually uncover someone fit to ride in the GPs. But how would the home produced riders achieve GP-standard if they're not racing against the best? Would the EL become a plant school, where when you become good enough you move on to the major leagues? That sounds a bit like Denmark, lots of good riders and reigning World Cup champions but with a weak (and now cancelled) domestic league. Good for the british riders, probably not so good for the british public.

Niklos
When will we know about foreign signings? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> foreign is allowed to declare anytime(possible at the end of the championship). For one command, no more than 5 contracts with foreign rider in championship 2007. In one racing command can invite. Not more 2 foreign

Ja-Jacek
Pawel Kowalewski spent his last season in Polonia Piła (the worst team in the 2 Div.) As I know Piła will not start as a team in Polish league Due to this not messages about Kowalewski's plans, maybe... And - johnmcenroe - Kowalewski is a polish rider, so why you are asking about in "russian topic"?
