You should learn names od Russian cities a little more :P

Vostok - it's a name of speedway team from VLADIVOSTOK

N

You should learn not to patronise. I am very well informed about Russian speedway (and geography) and regularly use both http://www.russpeedway.ru/ and http://irgiz.narod.ru/ (although it takes forever to unload).

I have been to Latvia, Ukraine and Russia (although I've only seen ice speedway in Russia (@ Saransk))

Oh and you forgot Kamensk-Uralski in your list of teams

I wrote Russian clubs - participants of league 2006...

Daugavpils and Rovno in Polish 2nd Division, rest in Russian National League.

Which league is Kamensk-Uralski participant?

Last year the team from Kamensk-Uralskij took part in junior championship (riders not older than 21 years).

And ice-speedway more popular in this town.

But if you go into some topics you can find a lot of pictures, not only of tracks but riders, too.

http://forum.speedway.ru/index.php

This site is a good source of videos from Russian speedway as well....

Examples being :

Togliatti v Oktyabrsky

Balakovo derby

Balakovo v Oktyabrsky

The SK Turbina site mentioned by Ja-Jacek also has some good videos.

As an aside, if you are looking for good Russian sites that are written in English you are going to struggle. Babelfish is your friend :D

Now there is a discussion in Russia, which day of the week will be the best for their leauge. Proposal is to do it on thursdays...

Due to Polish on sundays, English on mondays, Swedish on tuesdays and saturdays for GP and other competitions (and leagues in Italy, Czech, Hungary and Germany) it seems like the best idea.

An interesting question. The Russian league doesn't really have a fixed day, like Poland,Sweden and Denmark. If they are hoping to get top foreign stars on a regular basis and not just one or two meetings here and there i guess they have to have a fixed day.Thursday maybe? Can't really see Sweden or Poland suffering,so it will be Denmark and Britain,i guess

That was my suggestion :approve:

Is there any news on Vl.Trofimov and his involvement in Rovno.SC Trofimov? There was a power struggle last year. And i think there was an interview on the Russian forum with Viktor Trofimov, suggesting bad things going on.Also think he suggested the same was happening at Ufa,but not sure.

anyone out in Mother Russia have any ideas when the RUSSIAN LEAGUE fixtures for 2007 will be issued ?

Regards

The fixtures for 2007 will be issued in spring. On December, 15th there will be a meeting of the teams chiefs and may be they will issue a project of the fixtures-2007.
