Recommended Posts

Kevin arrived in the USA today and will team up with 2006 Dream Team riders Neil Facchini,Dale Facchini, and Tim Gomez on the undefeated Victorville Vikings. The Vikings were the 2006 WCSL Champs in 2006 and Kevin is excited about Joining the team for his three week stay.

WCSL Promotor Steve Evans is thrilled to have Kevin on board and hopes to gain even more support with having the Kingslynn Star riding in the short series.

The USA has not been sucessful with Team racing in the past.DreamTeam coordinators Gomez and Evans feel tey need to try to keep team racing in th USA If they are to continue to advance young riders to international racing.

Doolan and the Vikings will compete in a three team event this saturday.I will post the results or will have someone post the results on this event.

Kevin was allowed two laps of practice before the match started but his bike packed up about twenty meters after his practice start.

What was pretty cool was this older gentlemen walked up and said would you ride my bike its never been raced since I've owned it and Kevin said sure mate.

He rode Dale Facchini's bike in his second heat and then shared Tim Gomez's bike for the rest of his rides.

  • 3 weeks later...

According to Gillman website Billy Hamill won on saturday The Thanksgiving Speedway Invitational, the first-ever Speedway event at the Mojave Crossing Event Center in Fort Mojave, Arizona, USA,

with Kevin Doolan taking second place ( 13 points and top scorer after the main event).

It seems that was a very interesting meeting with Mike Faria, Charlie Venegas, Scott Brant, Billy Janniro, Chris Kerr, Ryan Fisher, Dukie Ermolenko, Josh Larsen, Shawn McConnell and Bryan Yarrow also taking part in it.

Here are some photos of the venue Mojave Crossing Center :)

There are now 12 races to view from the event.I think his saying that it was one of his most enjoyable nights racing was during his visit.I would doubt that anything this year would touch his accomplishments at KL.
