Recommended Posts

I'm getting there early so I can play on the fair pre-meeting, so I don't care :P

Same thing happened a few years ago, said 1pm everywhere but the tickets which said 1.30, it started at 1.30!!

Sod the fair - Im running down onto the beach. It has to be done!!!

I love the build up to this meeting - messing around in Brighton - I feel like a kid again. :D

Early start then Shawn! :D

Brighton is normally the earliest I get up all year :D  I tend to get up about 7ish so I can be there by 11, by the time I have rounded up everyone and stopped to go to toilet half a dozen times etc etc

Looks like you have just volunteered to make breakfast then.

I'll leave it all in the fridge for you.

Just bang on the doors when its ready!!!! :D

For the record - This road trip group is all departing from Chez Feltham together so we are having a 'sleep-over'!!! :D:o

The printing of tickets with the 1.30pm start time for the afternoons show is a mistake on the centre side but because of it we will not start the racing until that time, as it would not be right to begin before. The parade of riders will start at 1.15.

This year the British Academy match will start and complete in the afternoon so that the youngsters can enjoy the evening entertainment with their families as our guests in the stand.

The evening will now include an extra heat last chance qualifier for the final featuring the 3rd to 6th top scorers.

One change to the published field is that Josh Auty cannot now make it to the centre as he has an unexpected family commitment and he is going to be replaced by Martin, provided I twist his arm hard enough. We also have two reserves this year in case of unforseen circumstances, Tommy Allen and Billy Hiles from the USA, who has travelled with Chris Kerr in the hope of getting a skid at sometime on the day.

Martin and myself look forward to seeing you all down by the seaside and if the current temperatures hold you might consider bringing your swimmers!.

Jon - Having never been before, and having read this thread from start to finish without finding an answer - I wonder if you could help me out with a little question?

Where can I buy a bucket and spade? :D

Oh, and for anyone going there's a hint of a pattern change in the weather for this weekend, so take a scarf as well. ;)

Isnt Brighton Beach pebbles? So you will need a JCB - not bucket and spade!

OH YES!!! :o

How are we going to get our tickets from Sandie Travel, or will we meet you down there and get them from you down there?

Nikki was supposed to give them to you last weekend but ended up babysitting. She will try again this Sunday. :)

Phew, saves me bringing them then, wasn't sure how you'd react to being given a garden spade and a massive bucket in the middle of the Brighton Centre in front of a crowd! :D

Leigh...I will bring the purple paint  :)
Woo Lora...I just have to learn how to be little and naughty now!:D
