jon cook
The printing of tickets with the 1.30pm start time for the afternoons show is a mistake on the centre side but because of it we will not start the racing until that time, as it would not be right to begin before. The parade of riders will start at 1.15. This year the British Academy match will start and complete in the afternoon so that the youngsters can enjoy the evening entertainment with their families as our guests in the stand. The evening will now include an extra heat last chance qualifier for the final featuring the 3rd to 6th top scorers. One change to the published field is that Josh Auty cannot now make it to the centre as he has an unexpected family commitment and he is going to be replaced by Martin, provided I twist his arm hard enough. We also have two reserves this year in case of unforseen circumstances, Tommy Allen and Billy Hiles from the USA, who has travelled with Chris Kerr in the hope of getting a skid at sometime on the day. Martin and myself look forward to seeing you all down by the seaside and if the current temperatures hold you might consider bringing your swimmers!. 21st century heathen
Jon - Having never been before, and having read this thread from start to finish without finding an answer - I wonder if you could help me out with a little question? Where can I buy a bucket and spade? Oh, and for anyone going there's a hint of a pattern change in the weather for this weekend, so take a scarf as well. Leigh
Phew, saves me bringing them then, wasn't sure how you'd react to being given a garden spade and a massive bucket in the middle of the Brighton Centre in front of a crowd!
