Yes.He has been riding for Daugavpils. Is Russian(i think from Vladivostok) but changed because of riding for Daugavpils. He has been riding for the past couple of years Ice speedway in Russia.I did think he was going for the Latvian nomination as soon as i saw he wasn't entered in the Russian Championship.I can see him qualifying, but he shouldn't bother the top riders

Good luck to Mark Uzell in Penza. (Waves Union Flag furiously!)

Looking at the Draw, there are eight Russians, who will all get through. As for the others, Zorn, Serenius, Svensson and Aakko. The other eight are all so close together I think Tuinstra, Tony Klatovsky, Bauer and Simon with Skabraut and Flyktman as reserves.

Anyone care to predict differently?

It's not easy to predict on form as most non-Russians have hardly had any meetings. Can we assume Bauer will be back to his top form?He said the poor performance in Russia was down to his leg support. He has a new one now and thinks that will make a big difference.

I don't know the breakdown of qualifiers from each meeting, but will guess

Östersund

Ivanov Bros

Zorn

Bulankin

Skabraut

Penza

Khomitsevitch Bros

Aakko

Arkhipov

Serenius

Laguta

Inzell

Bauer

Krasnikov

Bogdanov

Svensson

Tuinstra

Just guessing that Penza has more qualifiers as it seems a stronger line-up.So reserves i guess,Flyktman +Simon

Seems that the meeting in Saalfelden has now been moved to Östersund.Training 03.02.Meeting 04.02And looking on the Assen site it seems the line-ups have been juggled a bit as well.Franky is now in Inzell. So my qualification guesses are up the spout a bit :D

Tony Steele is the ref at Penza ...and still awaits official word from the FIM as to if its on or not

According to the Assen Site, the alternate date/venue is Sterlitamak on 17/18th Feb

I suppose that the Austrians don't want to travel a long way to see their man, so the economics of it are sound.

Also reading the Assen site, they have moved the European Championship to 17/18th at Utsaly (Sp?) in Russia, which now clashes with the first two rounds of the Golden Spike and the Swedish Championship.

One can only admire their persistence in trying to salvage the season, but frankly it is now a joke.

And what about this meeting in Stockholm planned for March?Any info on that Liverstam?

Getingarna speedway (my original team who will not compete in 2007) is the organizer of this ice-racing meeting. It will be an international meeting at Östermalms IP in central Stockholm on saturday March 3. Peter Koij, Fredrik Olsson, Tobias Åström, Kurtis Lind, Joakim Söderström, Peter Jansson, Grzegorz Knapp + 2 russians are confirmed starters so far.

Don't have any details but seems practice went ahead yesterday.

Excellent stuff! Thanks Liverstam.

I trust you'll update the results as and when? Are the site carrying live results too?

EDIT: Looks like the Russian QR is next week in Saransk (11/12.2.2007) (From Inspeed.de)

Unfortunately no live updates on an otherwise good site.

I see on the other thread you found the results :)
