Congratulations to both James and Daniel on a fine victory, and a big thank you

to Peter Oakes for making this whole season special.

I have made loads of good friends and a special thank you to Vince Hurst for today :o Chris has finally found his nerve to get back on that bike and give it a go parhaps you should adopt him (I wish)

To Nigel Butler as predicted you forgot to leave me your phone number for our big boys weekend at your local in Boston,i will track you down :D

And Dave Johnson are you joking trying to hide behind me as the shale flew on the 4th bend

And why does that big bully Ben Hopwood keep beating up Little Chris ;)

Now for a nice break and see what happens next year

Well done to Daniel and James for winning the pairs today. Some may have their own opinions as to why their riders did not win but both James and Dan used their heads and communicated well during the event.Dan made no mistakes at all and team rode every heat for overall victory. It's OK to blast away or blame team mates, but this pair did the buisiness on their own. Some of the teams still had the individual approach and failed. However some scored well individually but made an odd mistake such as touching the tapes or lifting out the turns.

We are now on the pace and as a Dad I have better understanding with gearing/timing/carburation etc etc.It has taken me 4 years so far !.

Will we be forced to ride 250's next year ?

The answer is almost yes but we will buy one and race it as I am sure most who want to be in the under 15's will.

Its been a great year and may there be many more.

Incidentally great to see Shane mixing it with the 500's.Gary you do well to get him in there and am looking forward to see how the transition to 500 takes place as I am sure you are anxiuos to see how these 500 riders down grade to 250.

The 250 will be the ideal machine at Brighton !!!!.

Phil

I thought it was quite an enjoyable meeting. There seems to be a larger range of ages and abilities than in previous years but while the gap between the top and bottom is bigger it seems that they break down into groups so that everybody has some competition (not sure that makes sense but I know what I mean!). Plenty of evidence that those starting in Grass track seem to have a better understanding and a head start on the others and that nothing brings the lads on like plenty of time on the bike.

Christophers Dad left the 'kennel end' of the stand as if a Ginsters truck had arrived the other side of the pits when he was pointed out to the locals :D Enjoyed helping young Chris, seems he will listen to anybody except his dad which shows an amazing amount of common sense for one so young :D
