T.N.T.
Heres my World Rankings judging on League averages of the big three, their GP average and their performance and their team's in the SWC. I have done about 52 riders, these all appeared in the top 30 of the regular meetings for EL, Elitserien and Esktra Liga. Now from an average of these 3 averages you get a position this position counts as a point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Top Twenty-Five (Position/Rider/Nationality/Score) 1. Jason Crump/AUS/6 2. Hans Andersen/DEN/7 3. Nicki Pedersen/DEN/9.2 4. Leigh Adams/AUS/12.2 5. Greg Hancock/USA/14 6. Andreas Jonsson/SWE/15 7. Jaroslaw Hampel/POL/21.2 8. Tomasz Gollob/POL/23 9. Bjarne Pedersen/DEN/25.4 =10. Wieslaw Jagus/POL/28.8 =10. Peter Karlsson/SWE/28.8 12. Antonio Lindback/SWE/33.2 13. Scott Nicholls/GB/35 14. Rune Holta/POL/36 15. Ryan Sullivan/AUS/36.6 16. Matej Zagar/SLO/37 17. Piotr Protasiewicz/POL/37.6 18. Lee Richardson/GB/38.2 19. Janusz Kolodziej/POL/39.9 20. Seb Ulamek/POL/40.4 21. Niels Kristian-Iversen/DEN/40.8 22. Jesper B.Jensen/DEN/41 23. Todd Wiltshire/AUS/42.4 24. Mark Loram/GB/42.6 25. Chris Harris/GB/45.8 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Using these rankings by Hazzman . . . with GP riders in red, strange how PK weighs in joint 10th and isnt included, while Harris ranked #25 does So next years GP's will be the best 13 riders in the world plus I wild card and 2 others !! Hazzman
I reckon its cornish pasties in the lunchbox all round for Cardiff 2007.
Subedei
Fifty-five and counting. What's that I hear you cry? That's the number of GPs that have passed since a British rider last won a GP. That was Martin Dugard, a wild card, in 2000. Makes you proud, doesn't it. With Nicholls and Harris about, who'd bet against that being sixty-five at the end of 2007?

The great man won in Germany, according to my information, in 2001. Edit: But, of course, Hampel was heading for a nailed-on win in this season's British GP until Hancock took a tumble. Interestingly, Jason Crump was a GP winner before Tony Rickardsson. Edited October 11, 2006 by Subedei

Subedei
You have to go back to the last century for that. I guess, since only Loram and Dugard have won GPs, it would be Loram at some stage of the late-1990s.
speediebee
Im not British !! So I'm not offended, just feel PK and a few more possibly deserve the GP's ahead of a rider averaging just under 7 in his own league, not matter where they come from. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes you are, like it or not, if your English then you are a subject of the United Kindom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in other words, British! Who are the few more? PK, yes he finished above Harris in the qualification and he is unfortunate not to be included, but after PK one else has an argument, Harris was the next rider after PK in the qualifiers and deserves to be there on merit. I could be wrong but I don't believe a British rider has ever won a GP as a permanent GP rider. Yet we have had 2 wins as wildcards. edit> Mark Loram won the last GP of 1997 in Denmark. Subedei
It was 18 months ago now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you've been wrong since then. Or don't you remember such a memorable quote as: Right then. Can the moany <beep>s name me 7 riders who are better than him that did NOt finish in the top 8 of the GP series? IF they can name me 7 rider who ARE better than him (other than the top 8 GP riders), then we might be able to continue with the "Lee Richardson does not deserve a Gp place" bitching. This should be intresting as I don't think there are 7 riders who are better than him but, I'll give people a chance.

Mr. Clemens
Good luck to Chris Harris in the 2007 GP's I hope there are those out there who will provide him with the sponsorship to compete with the 'big boys' I do think Chris will be as tenacious as Andy Smith was in holding onto his place in the GP's - it will be interesting to see if it turns out that way
Subedei
I don't believe anyone named 7 riders who were better than him <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, how about this pearl of wisdom from your good self on 24 October 2005: Puk will finish in the top 10. Still, young Peasley, another of those wanting to watch the top fifteen in the world at the GPs, claimed, quite ridiculously, but probably through his Oxford eyes at the time, that PUK would finish around about eighth. I, of course, dismissed both notions as nonsense.

As long as people are prepared to attempt to defend the indefensible and justify the unjustifiable, I'll be responding.
