Australian Under 21's - Not At Gold Coast Now

This news broke late in the week. The Labrador track has now withdrawn its interest in holding this meeting after being granted the dates of January 26th and 27th quite a while back. I'm not sure of the exact reason as none has been forthcoming from the organising club, only that they were no longer going to hold the meeting. Currently the authorities are seeking a track willing to hold the meeting which will probably need some rescheduling of meetings seeing many clubs fixture lists will be settled by now.

 

Anyone who has made plans around that weekend may wish to revise them.

Thanks for the news Lunchy. I know the meetings also clashed with the Jason Lyons Testimonial weekend at Mildura , so maybe new dates now may now mean that some of the riders will now be able to Jase's meeting after all.

I don't know where or when the rescheduled meeting is due to take place yet but I would suspect seeing it is late in the piece to be rearranging fixtures that the most likely date for the meeting is the original one at a different venue.

 

The cancellation is the weirdest thing, it was apparently announced a month ago but it escaped all publicity for some reason and only came to light last week. The people from Sth East Qld who usually post on the internet have gone very quiet and the club website gave only a very brief announcement and it's anyones guess what really happened.

Was hoping that the date would be different if I was coming over as would like to do both the u21 meeting (to see John Oliver, Mark Jones, James Holder etc) and Jason Lyons Testimonial!!!
